Wayzata Country Club Wedding:: Glenn & Michelle

When you go get your hair done, you never expect to be set up, or even more meet the person you are going to marry. But that is exactly what happened for Glenn and Michelle! Katie, their mutual friend and hair stylist knew both Glenn and Michelle had shared interests in being outdoors, traveling, cooking and fishing and decided to play matchmaker for the couple!

Glenn knew he was ready to marry Michelle. The night before he proposed, he and Michelle were out late with friends so it took some convincing to get her out of the house the next day. It was a cool and cloudy day and the couple decided to head out to Fort Snelling State Park for a hike together. They had gone on their fourth date here which was memorable to the both of them. When Michelle stopped to rest on a bench, Glenn got down on one knee and proposed. Overjoyed, Michelle said yes and the two headed to Northbound Smokehouse for a bite to eat and to celebrate

Glenn and Michelle’s beautiful May wedding day was filled with sunshine joy and fun. Friends and family came from all over the state to celebrate with them as they were wed at the incredible and elegant St Bartholomew Church in Wayzata.

Michelle’s elegant, white Sottero and Midgley dress from Bella Bridal Boutique paired perfectly with Glenn’s navy suit from Men’s Warehouse. The bridal party consisted of just family of Glenn and Michelle and her sister wore a dress from Bridal Accent Couture to match the classic theme.

Anne from Bloomberry Floral provided the most gorgeous classic white florals while The Thirsty Whale created a Star Wars themed cake (May the 4th be with you!) that was both incredible to look at and delightful to taste!

After the wedding, Michelle and Glenn headed to Lake Minnetonka in a rented Tesla and we were able to capture some beautiful shots near the Depot. Wayzata Country Club hosted the ballroom bash while Instant Request brought the music throughout the night as guests danced away as Glenn and Michelle led them in a few Greek dances!

At dusk, we headed to the iconic Oak tree on the property and then ended with a sparkler getaway!

Glenn and Michelle, it was an honor to spend the day with you and your incredible friends and family.  Thank you for making me feel like a long time friend.  What a blast it was!

Watson Block Wedding:: Nicki & Mike

Nicki and Mike’s April wedding day was a perfect way to begin my 2019 season. I just loved the look and feel of their perfect, relaxed, intimate spring day. The two were wed at the beautiful Church of the Annunciation in Minneapolis. From there we hit up the Stone Arch Bridge where the two were engaged and finished off at the new industrial beautiful space in the North Loop; Watson Block.

Nicki and Mike were set up by a mutual friend and past bride of mine, Patti. When Nicki called to inquire and told me the two were friends from college, I knew they were going to be a special couple. Because both Mike and Nicki love their family, they decided to only have them involved as their wedding party and throughout the day, I was laughing and crying along side of them.

I loved how Nicki decided to trick Mike and had his uncle come and bea a part of the first look. With everyone watching and waiting, the laughter came not too long after.

Kind, concerned about others, gracious, compassionate and all around wonderful people, Nick and Mike made me feel so welcome and a part of their family.

Congratulations Nicki and Mike, what a beautiful day you both had. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it. Cheers to so much more laughter and fun as you begin your lives together as husband and wife!

Here are a few tips and tricks I have learned along the way of putting together a flat lay of the stationary from the wedding day.  Follow along on he video (created from my instastories from earlier this summer!) to grab the tips.

          Here is a quick breakdown:

          1. Use something to lift up invites.
          2. Invest in foam board
          3. Use greenery to add to the flatlay
