Land of Promise Wedding:: Tony and Tami

Tami and Tony had grown up with one another, but had lost touch after years. The two happened to be visiting their parents at the same time and happened upon each other at the grocery store. It wasn’t much of anything, just a simple smile. A few weeks went by and Tami sent him a message on Facebook. The two later met for coffee and started dating ever since!

Being that friends and family hold a high importance to both of them, Tony knew that he wanted to propose in a place where they could celebrate with friends and family. The couple was on vacation with their extended family and had been having a tough time finding any time alone. One evening mid-week, Tami’s dad noticed a boat had come loose from the dock, and Tony said he would take care of it. Not missing a beat, Tami offered her help and Tony knew it was the perfect time to ask. Once they tied up the boat, Tami started heading back to the cabin, but Tony sat down on a bench and had her join him. The two started with small talk and as the conversation ended, Tony told her he had something to ask her. He then got down on one knee and Tami, stunned and overcome with emotion only nodded. Family that had been watching the event unfold celebrated with the couple as they headed back to the cabin and enjoyed the rest of their vacation together!

Their September wedding day at the Land of Promise was full of all sorts of weather. A warm day was the perfect set up for their outdoor wedding, but with rain in the forecast the couple decided to do it under the pole barn which made the intimate wedding even better. Friends and family came from all over the state to celebrate with the couple and Tami and Tony’s children were even included as the flower girl, ring bearer and one of the bridesmaids.

Tami’s beautiful wedding gown from Posh Bridal was accented by the fall florals put together by Designs by Rita. The bridesmaids looked stunning in their burgundy Kennedy Blue dresses while the men decided to take a more casual approach and wear vests from The Filson Store. Because one of Tony’s good friends and one of the groomsmen own’s VonHanson’s meats, the event was catered by them and the food was incredible.

Tami and Tony’s cake from Buttercream Creations reflected the rustic vibe Tami was going for as did the invitations from Vista Print! Upon arriving to their reception, Tony and Tami entered to one of their favorite rock songs and surprised their guests with a wig and playing fake guitars!

It was a joy for me to spend the day with Tami and Tony as they are our neighbors. Tami’s daughter suggested to Tami that I photograph their wedding after I came and talked about photography to her 5th grade class! I love how those things happen and so thrilled to have been a part of the day. Congratulations to all of you!

The Grands at Mulligans Wedding:: Anne and Logan

Neither had really been looking for the other. Anne was on Bumble one night and showed Logan’s profile to her sister. She swiped away and the two ended up going out on their first date which became another and another until the two were a couple.

One beautiful afternoon, Logan decided to surprise Anne with a trip to Stillwater. After walking the town and just being together, the two climbed to the top of the “stairway to heaven” staircase that overlooked the city of Stillwater. Once at the top, Logan got down on one knee as asked Anne to marry him!

Their fall wedding day was filled with all kinds of weather, from mist and cold, to a beautiful golden hour and sunshine. It was truly a day for friends and family to travel to the beautiful Grands at Mulligans to celebrate with the couple.

Happy tears were shed when Anne’s father saw her for the first time and as the two walked down the aisle. Even her brothers had a hard time holding tears back!

Anne’s beautiful lace wedding dress from the Wedding Shoppe paired perfectly with the periwinkle dresses that the bridesmaids wore. The baby’s breath and greenery bouquets popped when paired with the navy suits that the men wore.

Being that both families are very close, most of the wedding party consisted of siblings and in-laws. We all laughed though the misty rain and spent time toasting and making the most of the weather throughout the day.

The sun came out in all it’s glory at the perfect time of the night to being us a stunning golden hour!

Anne and Logan, what a joy it was to spend the day with you. I was so honored to be able to capture this incredible day with your family and friends and wish you so many blessings as you walk into married life!

University Club of St. Paul Wedding:: Marcos and Elizabeth

As children Marcos and Elizabeth met. Both Elizabeth’s parents and Marcos’ parents were good friends, but when Marcos’ family moved to Duluth, the two families lost touch and went their separate ways.

As fate would have it, Marcos moved back to the Cities and began working at Colossal Cafe off Grand Ave in Saint Paul which Elizabeth now owned. The two reconnected and remembered their time as children, reminiscing about the past, and looking toward the future. Elizabeth and Marcos became fast friends since they spent so much time together and eventually began dating.

After spending a full day with Elizabeth’s family on Saint Patrick’s day this year, Marcos asked Elizabeth to go for a walk up to her favorite Bridge in Saint Paul, the High Bridge. He knew that she regularly ran there and loved looking across the city and the river so it was the perfect location for him to propose. Upon arriving at the top of the bridge, Marcos asked Elizabeth to be his wife.

Their September wedding day was beautiful. The two wanted only close friends and family to join their intimate ceremony so they could spend quality time with everyone. Elizabeth’s long sleeve Jenny Yoo gown was classic and elegant and perfect for the wedding day. Her bouquet from La Petite Fleur held hues of pinks, greens and whites and was stunning against her dress and her pink shoes added the perfect pop of color. April of Evergreen Weddings planned each and every detail perfectly and had the reception room looking amazing. The two had so many perfect details to the day including geo name places that were hand scripted with each guest’s name.

Elizabeth’s entrance had almost everyone in tears; even Marcos much to the surprise of Elizabeth. Friends and family gathered from miles around to celebrate with this lovely couple. Because both Elizabeth and Marcos work in the food industry, the meal of short ribs and polenta was incredible as was the cake from Buttercream bakery and the coffee bar which included sweet liquors for guests to enjoy.

Marcos and Elizabeth, it was a joy working with the both of you. I love the way you love each other and those around you. I do hope our paths cross in the future and that Paris is treating you so well!!

The Gardens of Castle Rock Wedding:: Morgan and Adam

Their love story began in Minnesota in the summer of 2006 where Morgan and Adam met while relishing in their shared passion for music. The two connected over a magical weekend where the two discovered that they shared much more than music as a passion. The two had just graduated from high school and were young and looking for adventure.

Over the summer Morgan and Adam stayed in touch with one another and soon the seasons turned from fall to winter as their love continued to blossom. They shared countless hours of late night phone calls and long drives to enjoy weekend concerts together. After a year of dating long distance, they decided to embrace their journey together and ended up in the same city.

In 2017 and thirteen years of shared memories and numerous concerts, exploring the outdoors, travel together, a new home and a furry pup, Adam popped the question. While on a trip with good friends and in between seeing concerts, they stopped in Colorado. Overlooking the mountains, Adam asked Morgan to marry him.

Their beautiful wedding day incorporated all the things that Morgan and Adam love, especially music and friendship. Among the beautiful space at the Garden’s of Castle Rock in Northfield, the couple were wed under a beautiful trellis of grapevines and florals. Morgan wore a beautiful Martina Liana gown with a train to die for. She also wore pearls that were her grandmothers and her mother’s bracelet.

Adam’s mother was a genus with the florals, and made gorgeous bouquets for the women that looked beautiful against the neutral palette of dresses they all wore. Adam and his groomsmen wore grey suits that when put up against the green backdrop looked incredible.

I loved the first look that Morgan and her father had. So emotional and tender, his love for his daughter emanated, and all that watched had a hard time holding back tears. Friends and family came from miles to share in the joy of the day. A perfect blend of nature and elegance, the couple mingled as guests blayed bean bags, enjoyed cocktails and incredible food from Irons in the Fire and danced the night away under the tent.

What a joy it was to celebrate with you, Morgan and Adam! Congratulations and cheers to the amazing journey that you continue to walk along!

Dellwood Barn Wedding:: Megan and Josh

Megan and Josh met through mutual friends on Facebook. Their love of the outdoors and adventure drew them together, but their love for Christ has kept them together.

After dating for a while, Josh knew he wanted to marry Megan. When Megan was at work one day, he headed to her house and set up rose petals all over the floor along with candles in the shape of a heart. When she got home from work, he told her to get ready to go out to eat. Before the couple left for dinner, Josh led her along the path of rose petals and proposed to her! The couple then celebrated together at dinner.

Dellwoods Barn could not have been a more perfect place for this outdoorsy couple. Set back in the hills of Dellwood, this incredible property has everything from a beautiful bridal suite to the perfect place for an outdoor ceremony on a hill overlooking the field and sky.

The weather could not have been more perfect for the day. A beautiful 75 degree day with white puffy clouds made for some incredible backdrops. We even got to take a peek at some fields where golden hour proved itself to be amazing.

Megan looked stunning in her Matthew Christopher dress and the florals that her aunt created (you guys, this woman’s artwork was amazing, and she doesn’t even do weddings on a regular basis!!) were spectacular against the neutral colored bridesmaid dresses that Megan’s sisters wore.

I loved how Josh’s brother decided to surprise him for the first look by dressing up in an old wedding gown and veil. The reaction on Josh’s face was priceless.

Megan and Josh, you are incredible people. Thank you for your kindness and making my job incredibly easy! So many blessings to you both as you enter marriage!
