Como Park Session:: St. Paul, MN

The setting couldn’t have been more perfect. Como Park’s conservatory, adorned with a plethora of spring blooms, provided a colorful backdrop that symbolized the blossoming journey of parenthood that Sara and Brandon are about to embark on.

Outside, the lush greenery of the park’s outdoor area complemented the indoor setting perfectly. The evergreen trees stood tall and majestic, their branches swaying gently in the breeze as the sun peeked through, creating a mesmerizing play of light and shadow. It was as if nature itself was celebrating the imminent arrival of a new life, painting a picturesque scene for the maternity session.

Against the backdrop of blooming flowers and verdant foliage, Sara and Brandon shared tender embraces, exchanged loving glances, and tenderly cradled Sara’s baby bump, each image telling a story of anticipation, hope, and boundless love.

The weather, too, seemed to be in perfect harmony with the occasion. The gentle warmth of the sun, the whisper of the wind, and the fragrant scents of spring created an atmosphere that was nothing short of magical.

I can’t wait until May, when their baby girl arrives and together they create tangible memories of a chapter that marking the beginning of a new and wondrous adventure! Congratulations!!

Landmark Center Wedding :: St. Paul, MN

In the heart of downtown St. Paul, amidst the timeless grandeur of the Landmark Center, Sophia and Christian’s love story unfolded on a crisp and sunny February day. Planned meticulously by Cat of Lupine & Co. Events, their wedding was a harmonious blend of classic elegance, romance, and heartfelt moments.

The day began at the historic Saint Paul Hotel, where Sophia and her bridesmaids were pampered by the talented Marissa from Styled by Marissa and Amelia with Soft Glow Makeup. Champagne flowed freely in the L’etoile Bridal Suite as Sophia and her bridesmaids got ready and Sophia’s mother helped her into her elegant dress from Che Bella Boutique and her classic white shoes from Badgley Mischka.

The grand staircase of the St. Paul Hotel served as the backdrop for Sophia and Christian’s unforgettable first look before heading outside. Accompanied by their wedding party, they ventured out to Rice Park for photos against the backdrop of the Landmark Center and the James J Hill Library. Decked in maroon dresses adorned with bouquets of baby’s breath, the bridesmaids radiated elegance, while the groomsmen, in classic black suits and bow ties from The Black Tux, exuded timeless charm. With the assistance of Laura Lonergan, Sophia’s white rose bridal bouquet became a masterpiece, adding a touch of ethereal charm to her ensemble.

Back inside the Landmark Center, the couple and their wedding party explored the historic beauty of the building making sure to take photos in staircases and old courtrooms. From there, the family met the couple for family photos in the beautiful white entry way of the building.

Guests began arriving for the ceremony as Minnesota Event Pianists filled the air with enchanting melodies. Sophia and Christian exchanged vows under twinkle lights and declared their love for each other as guests cheered for the new couple.

Following the ceremony, guests moved to the second floor for cocktail hour, where Sophia and Christian warmly greeted their loved ones and the reception kicked off with an incredible feast from Lake Elmo Catering Company. Speeches and ice cream sandwiches from Honey & Milk followed, while Instant Request invited Sophia and Christian on the dance floor as husband and wife for their first dance and then kept the dance floor alive as the night progressed.

As the night drew to a close, we stepped outside under the twinkling lights of Rice Park, basking in the warmth of love and laughter. It was a day filled with laughter and memories. Congratulations Sophia and Christian! Enjoy your honeymoon on the beautiful island of St. Lucia!

Landmark Center Wedding :: St. Paul, MN

Being the new kid is not always easy, but when Grant moved from the East Coast to a small town in South Dakota as a freshman in high school, he was noticed right away by all. More specifically by one soccer player, Rachel. The two hit it off right away as as good friends and then as sophomores decided to go to prom together. By their junior year, they had gone on a few dates and became inseparable. They dated throughout the rest of high school and into college. After one incredible proposal on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, the two decided that October would be the perfect time for a wedding.

The Landmark Center in St. Paul, Minnesota was the perfect location for Rachel and Grant to host their beautiful October wedding. The day was filled with laughter and tears and it was an incredible joy to photograph so many emotional moments. Rachel and her bridesmaids began the morning by getting ready at the Saint Paul Hotel where Primped did hair and make-up for all the women in their suite. Rachel‘s mom then helped her get into her beautiful dress from Brides ‘n’ Bells and shoes from Nina Bridal. She then headed outside to the beautiful hotel garden to meet Grant. It was an emotional first look for both of them, but when they saw their sweet Frenchie, Haven, they were both back to smiles and laughter!

The wedding party then joined us for photos in Rice Park, the James J Hill Library, and in front of the Saint Paul Hotel. The women looked beautiful in their olive green dresses from David’s Bridal, while the men supported dapper grey suits from The Suit Shop. Family then joined us for more photos, and then we headed inside to get ready for their ceremony.

Heidi from Jenna Culley Events made sure the day ran smoothly, and Jamie of Wilderland Floral created the most stunning florals for the day. Linen Effects provided the gold chairs and decor that matched Rachel’s vision for the day. Laurie Leigh Harpist provided beautiful music as Rachel walk down the aisle, and Matt Deboer, a friend of the couple, married Grant and Rachel. The two exchanged rings; Grants from Buchkosky Jewelers and Rachel’s gold band from her grandmother. As the two were pronounced husband and wife, guests cheered and the couple took a few moments to themselves. D’Amico Catering provided an incredible meal and dessert table for guests, while Mitch from Instant Request brought the party to life.

Congratulations Rachel and Grant, your day was amazing! I had so much fun getting to know the both of you and I wish you too many years of love and joy! Hope your honeymoon was incredible!

        Ryan and Laura:: Plymouth Wedding

Ryan was visiting with friends from Brazil when they asked him if he was dating anyone. The software engineer from Idaho, said he wasn’t and his friends began to rattle out names of friends that they thought would be good for him when Laura’s name came up.

The Brazilian geologist wasn’t looking to date an American either, but the friends persisted and eventually introduced Ryan and Laura to one another over Facebook.

Being that Ryan speaks English and Laura Portuguese, the two communicated through Google Translate and after a few months of doing that, Ryan jumped on a plane to Brazil to meet Laura in person. He thought he might be crazy, but upon meeting Laura, his suspicions subsided and despite the language barrier, the two got along wonderfully and after dating for a while, they were engaged.

Their winter wedding day was beautiful.Balmy 30 degree weather gave us a reason to do all the photos outside and we even headed to Parker’s Lake for photos on the frozen water.

What a joy it was celebrating with the both of you. I wish you years of joy and happiness!

7 Vines Wedding:: Matt and Mady

They had decided to go out for drinks with mutual friends and neither one knew they other. Matt and Mady instantly connected over similar interests. From that day forward they were together. Only a few years later Matt took Mady out to the St. Paul Grill for dinner and it was there he asked her to be his wife.

The entire day rain was predicted, but just as Matt and Mady did their first look, which included Mady giving Matt a scrapbook of all the activities they had done together since they had met, the rain stopped and the sun started to come out. Mady and Matt chose to do their ceremony at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Stillwater where Mady grew up and now where both of them live. Their ceremony was beautiful and full of emotion. My favorite part was when Matt saw Mady for the first time.

Mady looked stunning in her white dress from Diamond Bride that she had custom-made to fit her and her bridesmaids wore the most perfect two piece dresses, the top of cream satin and the skirts of rose tooling and were so much fun to be with. They were perfectly accented with green flower crowns.

Just Cuz salon gave Mady the perfect updo and most flawless make-up while her stunning gold diamond ring from Shane Co was the perfect amount of bling for the day.

From there we headed to downtown Stillwater for photos of the wedding party and Matt and Mady. We even got some shots with the new Stillwater bridge in the background.

Seven Vines proved to be just as lovely as ever. Rose Floral created the most amazing blooms for the day and proved to create a beautiful feel for the reception area. We headed out to vineyard at golden hour and where we got some of my very favorite photos of the day.

Matt and Mady, congratulations on your beautiful day. I wish you both ( and Peppo too) years of happiness and joy. Thank you for making me feel like a long time friend.
