On a beautiful Saturday morning, I headed to the Hart’s home in St. Paul. What a joy it was to meet the two of them, their sweet kiddos and their new pooch! Before the heat turned up for the day we were able to be outside for a few family photos and then headed to the backyard for some shots of the kids playing with their dog along with more formal shots!
What a joy it was to meet you all! I hope our paths cross again in the future!
Oh the sweetness of a new little one. I simply could not get enough of Jack, his parents and their sweet pooch. What a joy it was to come into the Bloomberg family home and meet sweet Jack. Born early, he was just a peanut when we did his session and slept almost the entire time. I absolutely adore meeting new families and their newest additions.
It is always a gift to see Sarah and her family. When she asked if we could get in an extended family photo of her husband’s side and that they hadn’t had one since the era of Olan Mills, I was thrilled to be doing one for them!
Having all the girls together and be so kind to one another made me see how much they loved being together and being around one another!
I love being able to do these sessions for families! If you are looking for an updated family photo, I would love to connect!
Theirs is an Office type of relationship. Only their “office” was the softball field.
Jen and Don had been playing on the same co-ed softball team for over a year and loved chatting with one another. Jen was dating another guy, and Don had a secret crush on her. When she ended that relationship, Don took the opportunity to ask her out. The two hit it off immediately, and from then on continued hanging out together, and eventually began dating.
After a few years of dating, Don began getting some grief from Jen’s family on when he was going to propose. He purchased Jen’s ring the day after her birthday in October and Don was waiting for the perfect moment to arrive. Finally, they day after Christmas it came. The couple had been to three other Christmas celebrations with family, and when they returned to their house, they decided to exchange gifts. Jen gave Don his first, and after he opened his, he proceeded to give Jen a jacket. Much to her surprise, he told her to reach into the pocket, and when she did, Jen found a ring and Don on a knee in their living room asking her to be his wife.
Jen and Don’s May wedding day at the historic Fort Snelling Chapel was elegant and classy. Friends and family came from all over to watch them wed and then continued to be with them as they celebrated at the beautiful Landmark Center in St. Paul.
Jen’s elegant, white Mori Lee dress from the Wedding Shoppe went perfectly with Don’s gray suit from Millberns. The bridal party wore Kennedy Blue burgundy dresses from the Wedding Shoppe and the men wore gray suits that highlighted the spring classic theme.
Tara and Lindsay from Sweet Peas Floral provided the most gorgeous classic bouquet and while Chef Jeff and his team brought in an incredible meal and a cake and dessert spread that was both beautiful to look at and delightful to taste!
After the wedding, Jen and Don along with their wedding party, headed to the bar they first went out to in St. Paul, McGoverns, and then headed to Rice Park for photos at the twilight hour. Being that Jen works at the Landmark, we had special access into the tower for photos overlooking St. Paul that were perfect at sunset.
Both Jen and Don had sweet dances with their parents and Instant Request kept the party going throughout the evening and had guests dancing the night away.
Don and Jen, it was an honor to spend the day with you and your incredible friends and family. Thank you for making me feel like a long time friend. What a blast it was!

Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no? My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
If you’re wondering how it all works (and how we make it easy), I wrote a full blog post about it! Check it out in my stories
No one said you had to do newborn photos inside! Taking lifestyle newborn photos outside and making them true to your style makes them even more meaningful and significant!!
