St. Paul Newborn Session:: Lottie

Newborns are slowly becoming one of the sessions I can not wait to go to! Charlotte’s (Lottie) session was no different.  I photographed Sarah’s maternity session earlier this summer, and I was so excited when the e-mail of Lottie’s birth arrived.  This sweet girl slept almost the entire session and even when we brought in the cat for photos, she seemed content to have him close.  Congratulations to this beautiful family of three!

      The Lynhall Wedding:: Dan and Jody

      Within the first two weeks of meeting Dan, Jody’s own fairy tale was made.  Dan surprised Jody with a surprise trip to visit him in Philadelphia.  Each and every detail from the flight to the places they went to dinner was attended to.  It was there Jody fell in love with Dan.

      Only 43 days later, the couple was engaged.  Both knew what they were looking for and they had found it.  Jody and Dan love adventures and both agree that life is too short to not surprise one another and not let life pass them by.

      The couple were wed at the beautiful and intimate St. Stephan’s Episcopal Church in Edina.  Dan had been attending there and had made it his home church and both he and Jody loved the intimate setting that only close family was invited to.  Jody’s Tory Burch shoes were a perfect accent to her Tadashi Shoji wedding gown.Both Dan and Jody’s rings were hand crafted by different designers.  Jody’s engagement ring was hand crafted and is a one of a kind ring designed by Denise Roberge.  Dan’s is from David Yurman Scherezada.Donato’s Floral in Maple grove put together the bouquet of rose and white blooms for Jody and a white rose for Dan’s boutonniere.Jody did her own make up for the day while Simonson’s did a loose updo for her.Jody purchased her veil and head piece from Anthropologie and it was a perfect touch for their October wedding day.The grounds of St. Stephen’s are truly beautiful.  Yellow trees and a beautiful brook behind the church made for a great location for photos.Jody and Dan invited friends and other family embers to their reception at the Lynhall in Minneapolis. The Menu ranged from butternut squash soup to roasted chicken and spiced cous cous to other autumn based dishes.Their spiced apple cinnamon cake was beautiful and created just for them by bakers at the Lynhall.What a perfect day to spend with this amazing couple. Jody and Dan, I wish you many years of love and many, many adventures together!Vendors for the day included:: Ceremony:: St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church //Reception:: The Lynhall // Hair:: Simonsons //  Florist:: Donoto’s Floral // Wedding Dress:: Tadashi Shoji from Bloomingdale’s// Rings:: Jody’s-Hand designed by Denise Roberge Dan’s David Yurman Scherezada // Baker:: The Lynhall // Stationary:: Minted// Men’s Designer:: Ralph Lauren from Macy’s // Veil and hairpiece:: Anthropologie // Earrings:: Borrowed from Jody’s best friend //

          Hazeltine Wedding:: Sara and Dave

          Their mutual respect for work ethic and caring for those around them drew them together, but their love of family, new jobs, health issues, family events and doing life together has kept Sara and Dave together. He keeps her laughing and she keeps him grounded.

          After being together for a few years, Sara and Dave decided to do dinner with both sides of their family.  As dinner was being served, Sara looked over to Dave to find that his plate was still full and he wasn’t eating.  Thinking this odd, Sara continued to watch him until he stood up and called for everyone’s attention. Then and there Dave stood up in front of the 20+ people that were there and talked about the importance of family, staying together, and supporting one another.  Everyone saw what was coming and the tears began to flow. Dave reached for Sara’s hand and asked her to stand with everyone. He got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife.

          Their late October wedding could have not been more perfect.  One of the last nice days of the fall; 60 degrees, red leaves on the trees and wonderful family and friends celebrated with them.  We utilized the beautiful property of Hazeltine National Golf course in Chaska, MN for a beautiful fall backdrop.Sara wore a gorgeous satin dress from Bridal Aisle while the bridesmaids wore burgundy lace dresses from David’s Bridal with gold shawls to stay warm. Dave and his groomsmen wore navy suits with burgundy ties from Savvi FormalWear.Jenni From Simply State Elegance created the most beautiful fall bouquets to compliment the dresses and brought in a gold ribbon to tie it all together.I also loved the idea that Sara and all her friends have a rotating veil that many of them have used in their weddings, and now it was Sara’s turn!Robbie Weides, Dave’s cousin, created a custom stationary package for Sara and Dave that represented the day beautifully.The audience was in tears as Sara’s father walked her down the aisle, and her mother, who has been diagnosed with a rapid case of Parkinson’s Disease, beamed as she recognized her daughter coming down to which Sara gave a big hug before standing to meet Dave.Because the couple loves doughnuts, they put together a spread of doughnuts and sweets out from HyVee Bakery for guests to enjoy.

          Friends and family danced the night away while Eric of Instant Request brought in the music and Allie Rae Productions captured the entire day on video.How blessed I was to spend the day with this KIND, COMPASSIONATE and LOVING couple.  Words cannot express how welcomed I was by family and friends the entire day. I wish you both many, many blessings as you move into married life together!
