A few years back I met Jordan and Jackson. Our first session was in Excelsior where I really got to know this sweet couple as we wandered the lake and celebrated their engagement.
Not long after, I was able to photograph their snowy, winter wedding day.
So when Jordan called to let me know that their baby boy had just arrived and she wanted me to come and take photos, I was floored.
James was the perfect baby, flashing smiles here and there and his big sister was loving on him and having so much fun reading and playing.
What a joy it is to see clients through the years! Are you expecting? I would love to connect, or re-connect!!
Nicki and Mike’s April wedding day was a perfect way to begin my 2019 season. I just loved the look and feel of their perfect, relaxed, intimate spring day. The two were wed at the beautiful Church of the Annunciation in Minneapolis. From there we hit up the Stone Arch Bridge where the two were engaged and finished off at the new industrial beautiful space in the North Loop; Watson Block.
Nicki and Mike were set up by a mutual friend and past bride of mine, Patti. When Nicki called to inquire and told me the two were friends from college, I knew they were going to be a special couple. Because both Mike and Nicki love their family, they decided to only have them involved as their wedding party and throughout the day, I was laughing and crying along side of them.
I loved how Nicki decided to trick Mike and had his uncle come and bea a part of the first look. With everyone watching and waiting, the laughter came not too long after.
Kind, concerned about others, gracious, compassionate and all around wonderful people, Nick and Mike made me feel so welcome and a part of their family.
Congratulations Nicki and Mike, what a beautiful day you both had. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it. Cheers to so much more laughter and fun as you begin your lives together as husband and wife!

I am pretty sure that 6 months might be my favorite stage of babies. They are so smiley, have the sweet rolls and not moving everywhere makes it even better. I loved seeing Lottie and her parents again. Those baby blues had my heart and the incredible amount of smiles she gave me almost made me long for another of my own…. Almost!
They both love music, so it was not a coincidence that Morgan and Adam met at a music festival when they were in high school. The couple dated throughout college and continued to go to numerous music festivals both locally and nationally.
When they decided to venture to Colorado with some of their closest friends to a music festival. Adam told his friends that this was the trip he was going to propose to Morgan. As they were all on a hike together, they ended at a waterfall and one of their friends was taking photos. She told them to come closer so she could get a photo of the both of them. Adam knew this was the moment he had been waiting for, and as they both turned to get their photo taken, Adam kneeled down on one knee and asked Morgan to marry him!
She couldn’t speak and Adam not sure what to do, said “Well…..” Through her tears, Morgan said yes and the crowd erupted with joy.
I simply can not wait for their August wedding at the Gardens of Castle Rock where there will be plenty of music, outdoor activities and just as much fun as we had for their fall engagement session!
What a joy it was to meet sweet Hannah and her family. Being a rainbow baby, we had to incorporate that into the session. Katie, Hannah’s mom, bought the sweetest headband and her aunt created this rainbow blanket for Hannah. I loved Hannah’s nursery, which was a tribute to her furry siblings who welcomed her in love. What a joy it is to meet new clients, and hear their incredible stories, because let’s be honest, each story of each baby to each family is unique and how blessed I am to meet these parents and families!
No one said you had to do newborn photos inside! Taking lifestyle newborn photos outside and making them true to your style makes them even more meaningful and significant!!
If you’re expecting (whether it’s your first baby or you’re adding to your crew), this is one of the most common questions I get
The sweet spot? 7–14 days after your baby arrives
Those early days are something special… Your baby is still sleepy, snuggly, and curled up in that fresh, just-born way—and it changes so quickly.
But here’s what matters just as much:
You don’t have to go anywhere.
My newborn sessions take place in your home whether it’s a quiet morning with your first baby or a full, beautifully busy house with siblings running around.
No pressure. No perfect expectations. Just your family, exactly as you are in this season.
If you’re thinking about newborn photos, I recommend reaching out during your second trimester so I can save space around your due date
I shared more about what to expect (and why timing matters) over on the blog link is in my bio!
If this season is coming up for you, I’d love to connect
On this gorgeous spring day, I find myself reliving Connor and Kristen’s wedding at Bavaria Downs.
An effortlessly timeless celebration layered with refined details, soft summer light, and a kind of beauty that never asks for attention, it simply exists. Every moment felt intentional, elegant, and deeply meaningful… the kind of day that lingers long after it’s over.
Truly, a wedding that defines what it means to be both classic and unforgettable.
If you’re envisioning a day that feels elevated, seamless, and entirely your own, I would be honored to document it.
