It was a mere 6 months ago that I was with Calen and Tom meeting Tate for the first time. It’s incredible the amount of growth that happens within the first year! This time around Tate looked way more like a big kid and was smiling, rolling, sitting and babbling away. He was incredible for his session and I can not wait as he continues to grow!
We found a cute and quaint studio in Maple grove that was filled with lush decor and even a beautiful floral instillation. It was the perfect space for Tate’s six month photos!
Technology is a beautiful thing, and I love using it in business. If this last year has taught me anything, it’s that online meetings are just as productive as in person meetings. One thing I am loving a lot these days are online meetings and here are 3 reasons why!
It’s a time saver. As much as I love meeting client in person and seeing right in front of me how a couple interacts, I also LOVE the ease and comfort of ducking into my office, closing the door and jumping on a call. No drive time required for anyone, and let’s face it, sometimes it is just hard to find time in our busy lives to put a meeting on the calendar and then GET there!
I can connect with couples all over the world. This past month alone, I scheduled meeting times with clients in Texas, Chicago and DC, and just a few hours away. Never before in history have we been able to do this, and I think its pretty amazing.
Sweats and leggings are ok. Typically when I am headed out to a meeting, I do dress in work attire, but when I’m sitting at home, there is the comfort and ease of pulling on a nice shirt and just keeping my leggings on!
Don’t get me wrong, I am still a huge advocate for in person meetings, and if you are in the Cities, I’d love to take you out for coffee, but there are those times its not always an option. So weather a Skype meeting, FaceTime meeting, Zoom or Messenger meeting, I am all for them! Hope to connect with you soon!
It has been a joy to photograph Bridget and Mike since they were engaged. Now that they have two incredible children, sessions have become filled with more laughter and fun. This session we celebrated Tre turning one. He was all over and SO.MUCH.FUN! I look forward to watching this sweet family continue to grow and change!
When I met Katie and Blake to chat more about their wedding, I knew right away we would be a good fit. The two met while playing at soccer tournament for their adult teams. Blake had not been feeling well the night before, but last minute felt better and decided to come play. As his team brought him to the field on their mascoted team golf cart, Katie and her friends caught sight of them and the bantering began. Throughout the tournament as they saw one another, they continued chatting with one another until the end of the day when Katie convinced Blake and his teammates to join them for drinks at the end of the day. That conversation led to a myriad of other ones and eventually Blake was on one knee proposing to Katie!
We chose Millennium Gardens in Plymouth for their engagement session because they both love nature and it provided us with the perfect spot to park their motorcycles, another shared love of theirs. Katie’s daughter, Brianna, also joined us for a few family photos. What a joy it was to be with them, congratulations Katie and Blake!
I have had the honor of knowing Alyssa for years! We actually grew up together in the same church, with her parents being my youth leaders!
When she was expecting Teddy, we reconnected for her summer maternity session (one of my favorites!) and since he was born, I have been photographing their family on a regular basis as Teddy has grown.
When Alyssa reached out to let me know that Teddy was going to have a little sister, I was overjoyed. We put a date on the calendar for their spring session and got the most beautiful day yet this year.
I simply can not wait to meet their little girl in a few weeks and see Teddy as a big brother!
Katie Nick’s June wedding at Seven Vines Vineyard was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and joyful celebration. From the classic black-and-white wedding party attire to the dreamy golden hour portraits among the vines, every detail felt effortlessly sophisticated.
Surrounded by their favorite people and endless love, these two kicked off married life in the most beautiful way.
Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.
Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
Welcome, to the world sweet Julia! It was such a blessing to see Travis, Marisa, and Jalen again! What joy Julia has brought to this family! Congratulations!!
