The Pratt Family

My husband Kevin and I have been friends with Josh and Kirstjen since college.  Seven years later (add kids and knowledge of many German board games to the mix), we are still an ever present part of each others lives, to which I am so grateful.  The Pratts missed out on our 2 weeks of fall (all you Minnesotan’s can attest to that statement), leaving us with one blustery almost winter day.  We did our best to stay warm, jumping in and out of winter coats and hats.  Here are some of the results!pratt 2

Pratts- love you all lots, can’t wait to see what the Lord has in store for you next!

    The Dziboa family

When you have a preschooler and a toddler, you sorta just have to roll with the punches because you never know what the day is going to hold.  Thankfully the Dziboa family and I had a pretty fun afternoon together and took advantage of the Coon Rapids Dam area.  The view was spectacular and the light was oh so perfect.  Add that with a fun loving couple and a pair of kids that loved to run, you’ve got a perfect match for photos.  dz 5dz 10dz 8dz 7dz 2dz 4dz 9dz 11dz 3dz 6dz 1

    • Karen – I love all of these!! You have done a fabulous job at capturing both of our kids’ personalities perfectly. Ben and I agree that we like the one where Allie is strangle-hugging Zach the best because it is exactly how our life is on a daily basis 🙂 I’m going to put a link up on my blog to share as well. Thanks so much!!

What a beautiful family. I love all the pictures. I am so proud and happy you are my family. Karen, you did a wonderful job.

    a love for the family

I love the aspect of family.   I love it with every fiber of my being.  I love the fact that we were MADE to be in a family, among people that we love and who love us.  Family are the people that we can see way down deep into the soul, and scary enough, they see right into ours.   And when we open ourselves up to them, a multitude of emotions erupt .   I love watching couples and families interact with each other.   I love the way that their love for one another is so intimate, so evident, and so real.

I have been blessed to have a job that allows me to do exactly that: to watch, through the eyes of the camera.Melling (197)

So let me watch your family- still booking for 2009

      Ashlyn’s baptism

It is always a joy and an honor to be a part of a family ‘s milestone moments and to be able to capture those events for them.  Beautiful Ashlyn was baptized in the same church as her mother Shannon was baptized in, making it a memorable moment for all involved.  The entire family showed their love for the family and for Ashlyn.  I was able to be there for the actual baptism as well as capture a few family photos after the ceremony.ahslyn 9ashlyn 10ashlyn 8ashlyn 6ashlyn 5ashlyn 7ashlyn 3ashlyn 11ahslyn 2

And Ashlyn had it.  The end of an eventful day.  Isn’t she beautiful?ashlyn 1ashlyn 4

Shannon, this one is totally for you.  A foot photo for your wall!

The baptism shoot was amazing – great lighting – great fall colors. Oh, and the adorable baby doesn’t hurt! 🙂

Becoming an entrepreneur wasn’t easy. It took a lot of hard work in understanding what I wasn’t good at before understanding what I was good at. I failed a lot in the process.

We often only see the good things and success stories on social media, but getting to the point where we are confident in ourselves and our work takes time and lots of failures. Trust me. 25 years and still working at it!!
