Max and Carissa: Minneapolis engagement

It was just another ordinary day.  Or so Carissa thought.  Max was taking her out to dinner.  He seemed so nervous and untalkative, but Carissa thought it must be something with his job.  She ordered as usual, and somewhere when she wasn’t watching, Max pulled out a black box and sat it on the table.  She looked over at him, smiled, looked down at the box and gasped!  He was on one knee in no time, asking her to marry him.

I am looking forward to spending an April day with this couple!  Congrats you both!

This is an AMAZING shoot! I absolutely love it. Thanks Karen!

Michael & Lindsay; Minneapolis engagement

There was just something different about him.  Different from any of the other guys she had dated.  Michael stuck out on the Match page as Lindsay flipped through the options.

Getting weary of the Match scene, Michael was at the end and had almost given up.  The he spotted her.  Just one more date he thought.

I got the phone call in late September, my sister’s birthday.  I had already called to wish her a happy birthday, but she had called back and left a very odd message .  “Call me…” is what she had left, and I could tell she was smiling as she was talking.  As the older sister, I didn’t want to get too excited, so I returned the message, and really, truly screamed when she said,”We’re getting married!!!!”

I simply can not wait for May as my little sister will walk down the aisle in Red Wing and marry her best friend.  Much love to both of you, as you know, I am soooooo excited!!

Steve & Patti- Minneapolis Rose Gardens engagement

She knew it was going to happen.  Steve was acting strange, just not himself.  He was quiet and his thoughts were drifting.  So Patti went home, got on her favorite dress, spritzed on his favorite perfume and practiced her best “Yes, I will marry you!”

Steve picked her up, and the two headed out for what she thought would be the best night ever.  The two went for a picnic dinner and she readied herself for the question, but nothing.  After dinner the two went back to Steve’s place where he asked her to sit down while he played her a song on the piano.  Putting on her most innocent face, her heart leapt again as she waited for those words she was so excited to hear… but still nothing.  The evening continued like any other date.  Steve kissed her good-bye and said he’d see her tomorrow.  With a heavy heart Patti headed home.

The next day she returned ready to just hang out with her best friend, still wondeirng what the night before was all about.  Not long after she had been there, unexpectedly, Steve dropped to one knee throwing Patti totally off guard and asked her if she would be his wife.  Through smiles and tears, Patti recited her best “Yes, I will marry you!”  followed by “What was last night?!”

Steve, full of sweetness and surprises, knew that she expected something and wanted to throw her completely off guard.

The day of the engagement session brought us all surprises too.  For most of the session it rained, but Patti and Steve just rolled with it, having a great time with each other.

And we had to end the session with some puddle jumping…  You guys are just so much fun!

I can’t wait to share New Year’s Eve with these two as the tie the knot!

    Chad and Mckenzie: Minneapolis engagement

She giggled as she said, ” I knew you were going to ask that!”  I had just popped the question, “How did the two of you meet?”

With a gleam in her eyes, she explained, ” At a bar, but his friend was hitting on me.”  It took the Navy air force pilot, Chad, a while to ask out the spunky red head, but when he did, the two of them hit it off, and sparks flew.

They continued to fly during our session together!  Mckenzie and Chad were so fun to be with, and I felt like I had known them for ages as we chatted about their fun and crazy adventures together while we shot around Mill City.  The lighting was gorgeous and then night couldn’t have been more comfortable.  I wish I could join these two on their big day, but they have decided to take the wedding day to the next level and exchange vows in Vegas with a few family members and friends.

I wish you two the best and hope to ride along on some part of your journey again!  Best wishes!

      Brittany and Jonathan: Minneapolis Engagement

They went to the same middle school, but didn’t know each other at all.  The after years, Brittany and Jonathan met at a party of a mutual friend.  Jonathan really liked Brittany but didn’t want to come on too strong, so he followed the 3 day rule, and called Brittany that day.  She was so happy he did, and since then they have been together.  The last year the couple has been in Chicago while Brittany has been finishing up her Masters in Geology.  Many an evening the couple resorted to games of scrabble and playing their instruments to get away from work and home work.  I just love this fun couple and am looking forward to their July wedding!
