closeAlthough it is hard to look at the snow, the beautiful faces in the snow make me smile. It was a joy to photograph Margaret and Tom. The two reside in California and braved the MN winter for some photos. Both are extremely down to earth, kind-hearted and full of laughter. Our session together was wonderful and I am looking forward to shooting their June wedding!
On this frigid day of January in Minnesota, I wanted to bring you back to the beautiful fall weather! I did Susie and Alex’s engagement session back in early October while the leaves were golden and the day was a perfect 70 degrees. This sharp, yet witty couple, amused me as we chatted on St. Anthony and Main in Minneapolis. The two brought along their beautiful puppy and as we strolled I became more excited to shoot their August wedding! We ended at the place where their story began, the chemistry building on the U of M campus.
I met with Don and Lori this morning, and was so excited to chat more about their wedding day! It seemed only fitting to post them on the blog! I am so looking forward to shooting their January wedding. We laughed throughout our time together, and they were up for trying so much. I know their wedding day will be every bit as fun as our time this fall!
I am just so giddy over this couple. They make me smile and laugh and even blogging these photos brings me back to our September session where they were more than willing to get their feet wet in a lake, run through a corn field and pull off some amazing poses! I think I even might have been living vicariously through them as we walked around the Northewestern College campus where I met my hubby, and where these this sweet couple was now attending. I can’t wait to shoot their March wedding, snow or not, I know they will both be just as stunning and fun!
I simply can not wait to see what details Kelly and Ryan pull out for their September wedding day. Their engagement session was full of them! I love watching the two get feisty in a game of connect four, run along Lake Calhoun with their pups, and snuggle over a backyard fire with s’mores! I know whatever they do will be completely fabulous!
Spring soirée perfection.
Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
