Steve and Laura: James J. HIll Reference Library wedding

Stunning.  I probably used that word over 100 times while I was photographing Laura and Steve.  I just could not get over the two of them, the sunlight, the wedding party, the flowers, the details, and the perfectness (is that even a word?!) of their wedding day.  The James J Hill Reference Library was a perfect venue for Steve and Laura to tie the knot.  We ventured around Rice Park’s beautiful locations, and then spent the hot July evening celebrating Steve and Laura.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day, it was wonderful!

And here is your slide show!

Steve and Laura: Details of a St. Paul wedding

It was a perfect day for a July wedding and Steve and Laura were the perfect couple to get it!  The vendors that helped with the day made it just as beautiful.

The ceremony and Reception were held at the beautiful and historic James J. Hill Reference Library.

Laura’s dress was Designer Mori Lee, from The Wedding Shoppe in St Paul.

Her shoes were the elegant Nina Bridal from Zappos.

Dawn at Main Floral in Anoka, which was the shop Laura used to work at, provided the summery floral arrangements.

The Bridesmaid dresses were from the designer Jasmine, from Heartstrings Bridal in Hopkins.

Laura’s engagement ring Continental Diamond and both wedding bands were from Jared.

I just adored Steve and Laura’s invitations, place cards, table numbers were from the talented  Jayme Fort.

I loved the way this couple incorporated their favorite things!  On the tables they had created boxes with game cards from games like “Who wants to be a Millionaire” and “Trivial Pursuit” as something for guests to do while they waited for food to be served!

While waking down the aisle, Laura held her something old.  Her Grandmother’s handkerchief.

The men’s suits were Jones New York, from Mens Wearhouse. The groomsman’s ties Charter Club, from Macy’s.

Steve sported a Calvin Klein tie, from Macy’s.  Laura’s hair and make up were done at e42nd street salon in Minneapolis.

The many different cakes were from Cafe Latte in St. Paul.

About a month ago I posted that I was looking for a groom to sport some sweet socks.  Laura and Steve saw the post and popped these sweet socks on!

They literally made my day and made me realize these posts are not in vein!  Thanks to you who faithfully read the blog.  Details like this make my job so. much. FUN!!  More to come tomorrow of this beautiful couple!

Heather and Tyler: Calhoun Beach Club wedding

They are Twins fanatics.  They love the game, the stadium and the players.  So it was only natural that Tyler get down on one knee to ask Heather to marry him last year at Target Field.  She was stunned and said yes immediately.  The couple wanted to incorporate the Stadium not only in their engagement, but on their wedding day as well.  They also wanted a modern and contemporary wedding and wanted to have lots of fun with their wedding party in between the ceremony and reception.  The day could have been nothing but what they envisioned.  It rained throughout the day, but they had so much fun (and so did I!)  The couple was married at the beautiful Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina and we headed to a variety of great Minneapolis locations, including Target Field, and then headed to Calhoun Beach Club for their reception.

Heather and Tyler, thank you for including me in your beautiful day, it was a joy!  Best wishes to you both as you start your life together!

        And here is your slideshow.

Heather and Tyler: details of a Minneapolis wedding

The rain held off until right before the ceremony and then downpour!  It didn’t dampen Heather and Tyler’s spirits, or the rest of the wedding party!  During the misty rain we headed to Target Field, the Stone Arch Bridge and to Loring Park, and had a great time.  There were some awesome vendors that helped make the day beautiful, more to come tomorrow of this beautiful couple.

Heather’s super stylish Impression Bridal dress was found at Mary Kay’s Bridal in St. Louis Park

Bridesmaids wore great black dresses found at the Wedding Shoppe in St. Paul

The great jewelry Heather found for her bridesmaids was from Aldo.

Sarah Westvig designed all the flowers for the day, and did a spectualr job!

Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina held the ceremony.

Groomsmen apparel was from Men’s warehouse.

Heather’s one piece of jewelry was a family heirloom and Epitome Papers created the invitations for the day.

Their wedding rings were from Jared’s.

Burley’s Aveda Salon in Edina did Heather’s make-up and hair for her day.

One of my very favorite reception sites, Calhoun Beach Club, held the reception.

Apres brought in great table linens.

Heather and Tyler decided to nix the cake idea and brought in dessert minis by D’Amico Catering.

The Traveling Photobooth stopped in for great photos and gave guests great favors to remember the day.

          More to come tomorrow!
