Jonathan and Brittany: Van Dusen Mansion wedding

She glowed when she walked down the aisle and he gasped with a smile crossing his face as he saw his bride for the first time.  The July day was perfect and for Jonathan and Brittany it was everything they could have wanted.  Joy and laughter emanated form this couple who had just moved back to the Cities from Chicago.  After finishing her master’s only a month earlier, Brittany set it to be her goal to plan her wedding details in the month of June.  She did a fabulous job and the color purple that she loved so much was woven throughout the day.

Congratulations to you both as you start your lives together!

Jonathan and Brittany: Details of a Minneapolis wedding

It was just perfect!  A beautiful July day held the wedding of Brittany and Jonathan.  The Van Dusen Mansion couldn’t have been a better venue for the Chicago couple.  The many vendors that helped the day memorable were so great to work with!

Indulge & Bloom on Excelsior created the beautiful blooms for the day.

Brittany’s beautiful Maggie Sottero dress was from the Wedding Chapel in Crystal.

The Bridesmaids were in Alfred Sung from Rush’s Bridal and their earrings were from Overstock.com.

And Jonathan and his groomsmen were wearing Joseph Abboud from Heimies Haberdashery.

Purple was the color of the day.  Brittany wore purple heels and the groomsmen even wore socks from Sox Appeal at the Mall of America.

Brittany’s Jewlery was stunning on her.  They were Charter Club from Macy’s. Her invites, programs and place cards were created on Vistaprint.com (I could not believe this one!!) I just loved what she had picked out!

Brittany and Jonathan used one of their favorite books as a sign in album.

Shane Co. in Minnetonka created the couple’s rings.

Moxie in Uptown gave Brittany her beautiful up-do.

The favor table was one of the most fun I have seen for a long time.  Everything from Wine stoppers, to coffee, tea, silly straws and glow sticks ranged on the table.  Some of the vendors they used were AsianIdeas.com, Krazystraw.com, Littlethingsfavors.com, Lunabazaar.com, discountpartysupply.com, and amazon.com.The car fit the venue and was a vintage 1929 Packard.

More to come tomorrow of this beautifully fun couple!

Steve and Laura: James J. HIll Reference Library wedding

Stunning.  I probably used that word over 100 times while I was photographing Laura and Steve.  I just could not get over the two of them, the sunlight, the wedding party, the flowers, the details, and the perfectness (is that even a word?!) of their wedding day.  The James J Hill Reference Library was a perfect venue for Steve and Laura to tie the knot.  We ventured around Rice Park’s beautiful locations, and then spent the hot July evening celebrating Steve and Laura.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day, it was wonderful!

Steve and Laura: Details of a St. Paul wedding

It was a perfect day for a July wedding and Steve and Laura were the perfect couple to get it!  The vendors that helped with the day made it just as beautiful.

The ceremony and Reception were held at the beautiful and historic James J. Hill Reference Library.

Laura’s dress was Designer Mori Lee, from The Wedding Shoppe in St Paul.

Her shoes were the elegant Nina Bridal from Zappos.

Dawn at Main Floral in Anoka, which was the shop Laura used to work at, provided the summery floral arrangements.

The Bridesmaid dresses were from the designer Jasmine, from Heartstrings Bridal in Hopkins.

Laura’s engagement ring Continental Diamond and both wedding bands were from Jared.

I just adored Steve and Laura’s invitations, place cards, table numbers were from the talented  Jayme Fort.

I loved the way this couple incorporated their favorite things!  On the tables they had created boxes with game cards from games like “Who wants to be a Millionaire” and “Trivial Pursuit” as something for guests to do while they waited for food to be served!

While waking down the aisle, Laura held her something old.  Her Grandmother’s handkerchief.

The men’s suits were Jones New York, from Mens Wearhouse. The groomsman’s ties Charter Club, from Macy’s.

Steve sported a Calvin Klein tie, from Macy’s.  Laura’s hair and make up were done at e42nd street salon in Minneapolis.

The many different cakes were from Cafe Latte in St. Paul.

About a month ago I posted that I was looking for a groom to sport some sweet socks.  Laura and Steve saw the post and popped these sweet socks on!

They literally made my day and made me realize these posts are not in vein!  Thanks to you who faithfully read the blog.  Details like this make my job so. much. FUN!!  More to come tomorrow of this beautiful couple!
