Steve and Leia- details of a Minneapolis wedding

Steve and Leia’s winter wedding was perfect!  The weather was far from freezing and they were up for trying anything!  The details helped make this wedding beautiful!

Leia’s dress was purchased at Priscilla of Boston (she was lucky enough to have received it before all the stores closed!)  It was a Vera Wang dress style being Ethel, and it looked A-Maz-ing on her!

Leia and her bridesmaids work Kelly & Katie shoes.

Mici O’Grady  did all of the women’s makeup with Mac products and Tracy Glenn did Leia’s hair as well as all the other women in the party.

Leia’s jewelry (earrings and bracelet) and her black reception sash were all done by Maria Elena, and  purchased each piece from Priscilla of Boston.

Her veil (which looked stunning on her) was also purchased from Priscilla of Boston.

All the bridesmaids selected their own long black gowns.

The groomsmen also wore their own ark grey suits and Steve provided the red tie that they each wore.

Steve’s ring is from Bergstrom Jewelers, and Leia’s eternity band is by Tacori and was purchased at Arthur’s Jewelers, in Roseville.

The ceremony was held at Temple Israel in Minneapolis.

A group from the Minnesota Orchestra brought the beautiful music to the ceremony.

mimi design was the overall amazing vendor for the day… they provided wedding planning for the day, created the stationary for the day (invites, programs, menu’s, place cards) and provided all the decor for the table design,  all the floral arrangements, table design, and layout (including the baby’s breath on the chuppah for the ceremony).  Side note: As a vendor they were wonderful to work with!!

Windows on Minnesota held the reception while Instant Request provided the music.

I loved the idea that Leia and Steve used for their guest book.  Because the couple went to Thailand for their honeymoon, they had guests sign into a photo book of Thailand.

Cocoa and Fig provided the yummy dessert bar.

More to come tomorrow of this beautiful couple!

Steve & Patti: Earl Brown wedding

The year had come to an end, but that was exactly what Steve and Patti were waiting for.  After months of meticulous and careful planning, the sun arose on New Year’s Eve 2011.

This was the day that Patti would walk down the aisle, bad knee and all, and confess her “I do’s” to Steve.  A few months earlier, actually a couple weeks after Patti and Steve’s rainy engagement session, Patti was playing on her women’s soccer league and injured  her knee. Surgery was called for.  A few months of rehab as well.  Now the question was, would she even be able to walk down the aisle?

Heels were definitely out of the question, so was standing for longer periods of time, but after lots of rest and healing, Patti DID walk down the aisle.  And she DID dance all night, and DID ring in the New Year, and had the best day of her life.  It was a joy to work with such an amazing, flexible and happy couple.  I couldn’t have been happier to have shared the last day of 2011 with such a fabulous couple.  Patti and Steve, congratulations and much love as you start your lives together!

Patti and Steve: Details of a St. Paul wedding

Details of a wedding bring the personality of the bride and groom to life. Patti and Steve brought in their favorite touches to make the details of their December wedding beautiful.

Patti’s dress was purchased at Wedding Connection and it is a Mori Lee Dress.

I loved the “Mrs. Peichel” hanger that Patti used.

Being that Orange is Patti’s favorite color, she really wanted to incorporate into some of the details of her day.  Being that it was December, orange is a hard one to pull off.  She did it though, bringing in her favorite flowers (also hard to find in December) Tulips. Forever in Bloom Floral made the buds look ama-z-ing!

She also pulled out the orange bling with some great orange flats.

The ladies dresses were MoriLee Dresses a variety and purchased at the Wedding Chapel in Crystal.

The men sported Men’s Warehouse attire.

Patti also pulled out another orange bit.  Because she injured her knee playing soccer earlier in the summer and had to go into surgery not too long after, she was prohibited by her doctors to wear heels.  She brought out some orange Saucony after the wedding ceremony, and used them to dance the night away, bad knee and all!She carried an old hankerchif and wore bracelet and earrings (as a gift from her mother) from Macy’s.

Purple invites were created by Rochella Jean Studio of Design.LeAnn Stadt of Mary Kay did all the ladies make up.

The ceremony was held at Patti’s home church Church of St. Jerome.

Patti’s hair was done by Minnesota Hair in Maplewood.

Patti’s ring was created at Helzberg Diamonds, and Steve’s ring was his father’s.  Passed down to him, it has not only Patti and Steve’s wedding date engraved, but also his parent’s.

Because Steve is an engineer, and wanted to be involved in the planning process, he created all the centerpieces for the wedding.  He created the vase, light, circuit and all, to make it completely their own!Earl Brown held the festive reception.DorothyAnn Bakery in Woodbury designed the cake for the evening.

It was a perfect December day for a wedding.  After only 8 weeks of planning her wedding, Andrea walked down the aisle to her groom.  I was fortunate enough to capture a part of this beautiful wedding day.  I wish Kory and Andrea all the best!  Thank you for including me in your day!

Kory and Andrea: details of a Minneapolis wedding

Winter is a wonderful season for weddings.  Kory and Andrea planned their December wedding in 8 weeks.  Yes, you read that right, just 8 weeks!!  It was small, quaint and beautiful!  I had the joy of capturing even the minute details.

Andrea’s dress was purchased at the Wedding Chapel in Crystal

Her black and white poca dot stylish shoes were Nine West.

Rings that the two wore were from Shane Co.

Groom and groomsmen attire were from Macy’s.

The beautiful, colorful buds were created at Linsk Floral in Saint Louis Park.

Andrea’s hair was done by Marisa Trevino of Sakada Studios in  Minnetonka.

Invites were handcrafted by the bride and groom.

Bridesmaids chose their own black formal dresses.

Andrea’s hair piece was found at the Wedding Chapel and her jewelry was found at JC Penny.

More to come tomorrow of this couple!
