Who they love.
Ben is truly our baby. He is the one that loves to be kissed and hugged. Today I caught him and Elise in one of these I love you hugs. So thankful that they love each other!

So yes, I am a bit behind, but day five’s assignment was on what we love to hate. One of my greatest love hate relationships in our home is my daughters love for crafts and to create! I absolutely adore this because I was the same way at her age, and I as an art major, I am seeing that love in her emerge as she grows older. The part I dread about this is that she is always wanting to create and try new things, thus stealing things like my tape and scissors and leaving them in obscure places in our home. And when a home is equipped with a 2 year old curious boy, that is not always a good thing!!

I never understood the game. Run up and down the field, knock some body down, grab the ball and run. And oh, in the process maybe spprain and ankle or knee… Nope. I don’t get the game of football. Which is why I never really cared too much for the Super Bowl. Typically I don’t even know who is playing or even where it is! (Shows you my ignorance!)
Of course it is a great excuse to get together with friends and eat wonderful the food I would never eat alone! Kevin could go either way on it too. He loves competition, but he is more of a soccer fan.
This year is different. My father in law called the other day asking if we wanted Packer gear to wear for the game. This is not at all like us, and I don’t think I could even get my girly-girls to wear green because it is a “boy color”. But we will be routing for the Green and Yellow this year, and you can bet we will both, along with friends, be gathered around the TV waiting for a great game!

I lpve the way spring smells. The sweet sent of all the flowers blooming, Freshly cut grass and of course sunscreen. I found myself looking through some of my archives the other day and came across a sweet picture of spring. It made me long for the sweet and newness that it brings. So in the midst of the country getting all this crazy weather, here is my glimpse of spring. I know it will come, even if it is 8 weeks! For today I will be doing some dreaming! Happy weekend.
What they wear. Because of all you wonderful brides I get to photograph, my daughters have become obsessed with brides and dressing up as them. Let me tell you, as I am editing each wedding my girls will come in my office and make comments on how much they like that dress, or how pretty the bride looks or how beautiful your flowers are, how cute the flower girls is, etc. etc!! Thus, I am continually asked to photograph my 6 and 4 year old “brides”. Can I also say we have at least 6 white dresses that the girls will wear! And flowers, hair barrettes and even a veil??! Thankfully as of now, they are still marrying daddy, so I can with ease continue to photograph them together!

And of course if they are not dressed up like brides, they are dressed as princesses!

Katie Nick’s June wedding at Seven Vines Vineyard was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and joyful celebration. From the classic black-and-white wedding party attire to the dreamy golden hour portraits among the vines, every detail felt effortlessly sophisticated.
Surrounded by their favorite people and endless love, these two kicked off married life in the most beautiful way.

Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.
Welcome to the world, sweet girl
Spring soirée perfection.
Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
Congratulations, Rob and Sarah!
