I am constantly checking, crossing, and adding to my LIST. Being that I work full time from home ,and only one of my three kids is in school (kindergarten, which doesn’t count for much alone time) I have learned over time, that lists have been one of my saving graces. What started as a hectic week has now been broken down into day by day chores and business endeavors. Every Sunday night I get about an hour to myself to think through the list which includes things like meal planning, special events for the day, house cleaning, laundry and work. Realistically I think I can get more done each day than I really do, but when it does happen and a huge HOORAY goes out and ice cream is in store for everyone!
I had to throw this one up too… even though I use my i-cal, I still have a planner that I take around with me, and this is what it looks like every month. My 2 year old just can’t keep his hand off it!

May your list be crossed off today!
… it was 4, 2 and newborn.
…sleeping was a thing I longed for.
…I could not wait to leave the house just to come home again.
….exhausted.
…knew nothing of raising a little boy.
…did not realize how funny my middle child is.
…knew nothing of reading, spelling words, numbers, birthday parties, and new friends.
…loved nap time, for them and me.
…didn’t understand how everything can be thrown, kicked and tackled by a little boy; including his mother and older sisters.
…how much I really do enjoy being a mother.

The weekend was MINE! I could not wait for Saturday morning at 9. I stopped at Caribou to grab my favorite drink (Vanilla 2% Latte; hey life is short!) and headed over to a weekend that I had bee waiting for since December. No kids, no responsibilities, it was all mine to share with 7 of my best girl friends! I had every intention to do this fabulous blog post when I knew we were headed to a Bed and Breakfast, but of course we hardly ever get to see each other, and the camera was in my hands for less than 5 minutes. Needles to say, there were some personalities captured that bring out my favorite traits in my friends. I just love this photo, basically sums up our weekend. Lots of laughing, gabbing, eating and more gabbing. I love all of you and can not wait for another weekend that will totally be mine with you!
Happy weekend! Share it gabbing with someone you love!
Last year I was able to head out of snowy, cold Minnesota to beautiful, sunny California with my husband to shoot a wedding. We were so blessed to get to know this great couple and were welcomed in by their friends and family on Catalina Island. After 3 days of shooting with them, we stayed for 3 more days just to check out some of the sites around LA. I have to say this is a place that I would move to in a second. As of now, I would gladly trade the March snow for some sun and Vitamin D, but I might just have to get that from the hour more of sunlight with my down coat, mittens, scarf and hat on! As another cold Monday hits, may you be surrounded by warm thoughts of summer!

And just to give you a taste my wonderful husband….
Happy Monday!

Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.
Welcome to the world, sweet girl
Spring soirée perfection.
Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
Congratulations, Rob and Sarah!
