Minnesota Country wedding:: Bekah and Jeremy

Their parents had been friends for years and their dad’s even grew up attending the same church. Becka knew Jeremy as the older brother her brothers would hang out with when they all got together, but she never considered dating him.  It wasn’t until they reconnected as families that Jeremy asked Bekah to go out with him.

They decided on Munsinger Gardens in St. Cloud, and as they perused the gardens, they realized they had more in common than they knew.  They laughed and enjoyed their time together so much that they continued dating. Months later after realizing they both wanted to spend the rest of their lives together, Jeremy brought Bekah back to the same gardens. It was there he got down on one knee and took Bekah completely off guard asking her to be his wife.  A resounding yes and dinner at Cafe Renaissance followed! The morning of their June wedding it down poured, but the clouds broke later in the afternoon giving way to a beautiful warm (read HOT!) summer day! Bekah’s unique wedding ring from DJ Bitzan was intricately woven together and carefully hand picked by Jeremy. Bekah’s elegant lace dress  from David’s Bridal was a perfect match to Jeremy’s black suit and white classic tie from Halberstadt’s.  Her bridesmaids wore beautiful maroon dresses with lace sleeves that matched Bekah’s wedding dres The white blooms Bekah held from Stems and Vines in St. Cloud accentuated the classic look that she was going for. Her bridesmaids bouquets of reds and whites also added a pop of color against the rich green backdrop of summer. Friends and family members helped decorate the church and reception area with over 250 stems of Peonies hand picked and grown in Bekah’s grandmother’s garden.  Her cousin created each table number and signs for the reception site. Another family member built a table for the couple and the wooden sign that they used as a guestbook was also created by another one of Bekahs’ cousins. Jeremy and Bekah departed from their wedding day in a 1955 salmon Desoto owned by Bekah’s grandfather as friends and family waved goodbye. What a joy and honor it was to spend the day with this incredible couple.  I wish you both joy and blessings as you enter this amazing new adventure of marriage!

White Fish Lodge Wedding:: Allie & Joe

Good things come to those who wait.

A phrase we often hear, but one that Allie and Joe actually lived out in their relationship.  The two met in high school and were long time friends even before they started dating.  Allie always had a crush on Joe, and over the years they would both write letters to each other.  Sharing a love for hockey, the outdoors and their city, the two eventually began seriously dating.

A few years later, Allie and Joe were spending a night in. Both exhausted from a long day of working, they snuggled up to watch their favorite show, Grey’s Anatomy together.  Being that it was one of the most romantic episodes, and one of Allie’s favorites, Joe decided this was the perfect moment.  He carefully slid a ring out of his pocket.  He had been waiting for their perfect moment and here it had arrived.  He asked her to marry him and Allie, completely taken off guard, said yes!

Both Allie and Joe are from the Brained Lakes area, so it only seemed fitting for them to have their wedding in one of Minnesota’s beautiful lodges.  WhiteFish Lodge held both their ceremony and reception.  Guests from all over the state came to celebrate with them on one incredible June day. Allie’s amazing friends and staff she works with from the Fine Line Salon did her hair while she did her own make up beautifully. Her white princess cut Stella York dress from Carrie Johnson Bridal paired beautifully with Joe’s navy vest and navy bow tie from Knights Chamber in St. Cloud.

Lakes Printing created the stationary for the day while JF Kruse Jewelers hand-crafted Allie’s incredible diamond rings and Joe’s north woods ring. Both Allie and her father were in tears upon seeing each other for the first time and both used hankies that Allie hand made for any “ugly crying”. Allie’s sweet bridesmaids wore beautiful Allure pastel pink gowns and Wild Daisy provided the most incredible wildflower blooms which popped against the north woods tree line. Friends and family danced the night away with DJ Sloppy mixing tunes and at the end of the night the sun finally came out. Allie and Joe were lucky enough to get some sun shots and also capture the downtown area before the end of the evening! Allie and Joe, congratulations!  You both were an incredible couple to work with.  I was so honored to document your amazing day!!
