closeIt is so great to be connected to a beautiful big group of artists in Minneapolis. A few years ago, I met the sweet Allison Family. This year, we booked their session in the studio and used the gigantic paper flower wall as our backdrop which fit them beautifully. Cheerful, energetic and full of beauty, I love seeing them every single time!
It’s really not too hard to photograph someone that you have known for over 20 years. Meet Laura and her sweet family. Laura is just that, a friend of mine for over 20 years, and it is really crazy to even think that we have been friends for that long. Our daughters are now OLDER than we were when we met, let’s talk about being old now…. I could’t have loved photographing this family any more, and I am pretty sure we found our sweet spot in timing, the day was perfect, the kids were perfect and there were no bugs or heat or frigid temps to keep us away. I’m pretty sure if you met this sweet family in person, you would love them just as much as I do! 
Hanson’s Tree Farm in Anoka was the perfect backdrop for a Holiday themed session for Emily and her sweet husband Mike. Bringing the cutest props (scarves, gloves, mugs and a sign) made the session feel like we were already in full Holiday swing! 
It was such an honor to photograph Steve and Gina’s wedding a few years back, so when they asked me to photograph thir newest addition, Bently, I was thrilled. Such a perfect, smiley, content baby. He made my job so easy and I am so happy to see this sweet couple expand their family!
From their engagement session, to their wedding, to the birth of their first daughter and now to their second, it’s been a joy and honor to be able to photograph couples like the Wargo’s as their life changes.
It’s what makes my job so meaningful and fulfilling! Congratulations Hannah and Jake, your family is beautiful!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
