Gold Metal Park Engagement Session:: Austin and Annika

Austin and Annika had been friends for a year, and throughout that time, Annika developed feelings for Austin. She quietly listened as he talked to her about all things in life from football to girls he was dating. It was a year later that Austin realized how much he loved spending time with Annika and that he was constantly comparing all other girls to his best friend Annika.

After a year of dating, Austin planned his surprise engagement to Annika. On an evening while teaching at a FCA event on the campus of North Dakota State, Austin began talking about love. He then brought Anni down in front of all and got down on a knee in front of all and asked her to be his bride!

I simply can not wait to photograph their wedding in May. If their engagement session was anything like it, I know it will be filled with joy and lots and lots of laughter!

Michelle and Chris:: Lyndale Park Engagement Session

It was Labor Day weekend. Because Michelle works in healthcare, she had been working all weekend and was tired. She arrived home to find a steak and potato dinner waiting for her, her favorite. After the two had completed dinner, Chris brought out a box of chocolates that he presented to her. Michelle opened it to find one of the chocolates missing and a ring in it’s place.

From there, Chris asked her to be his wife and a surprised Michelle responded yes. A limo was waiting outside for the both of them that Chris had arranged for and the two spent the rest of the evening celebrating and visiting family in person and telling them their happy news.

What a joy it was to spend a beautiful summer morning with the two of them. We wandered around the beautiful Lyndale Park in Minneapolis and even made it into the lake for a few photos!

Chris and Michelle, I can’t wait for your wedding day!!

Mill Ruins Engagement Session:: Tami and Tony

We scheduled their session back in February when the snow was still on the ground and forgetting what the spring sun felt like! Tony, Tami and I headed downtown on a Friday evening when Garth Brooks was preforming and the weather had hit a beautiful 65! The hustle and bustle of the City was a warm greeting for us all and we easily strolled the streets of Mill Ruins Park, and enjoyed the afternoon together.

I loved all the outfits Tami chose. The spring colors popped against the fresh greens and city skyscapes. They were a perfect representation of her and Tony…casual and classy!

I simply can not wait to photograph their wedding in September (in the country!) and get to know them even more!

Minneapolis Engagement Session:: Kelley and Melanie

Melanie showed up at Kelley’s small church one day to visit with her family. Kelley welcomed them and stayed after to chat with her for a bit. They met again at Melanie’s brother’s wedding this past summer and in July the two began dating.

Over Valentine’s day, Kelley was going on a trip with his family. Melanie was a bit sad as she was hoping to spend the day with him, but he promised to FaceTime with her, and so in the evening right as she finished work, she came home. As she chatted with him, he told her to go into the living room, and when she arrived, there he was down on one knee with a ring in his hand asking her to be his wife!

We had an incredibly warm day for their engagement session and I simply can not wait to spend their June wedding day with them!

Adam and Morgan:: Minnetonka Engagement Session

They both love music, so it was not a coincidence that Morgan and Adam met at a music festival when they were in high school. The couple dated throughout college and continued to go to numerous music festivals both locally and nationally.

When they decided to venture to Colorado with some of their closest friends to a music festival. Adam told his friends that this was the trip he was going to propose to Morgan. As they were all on a hike together, they ended at a waterfall and one of their friends was taking photos. She told them to come closer so she could get a photo of the both of them. Adam knew this was the moment he had been waiting for, and as they both turned to get their photo taken, Adam kneeled down on one knee and asked Morgan to marry him!

She couldn’t speak and Adam not sure what to do, said “Well…..” Through her tears, Morgan said yes and the crowd erupted with joy.

I simply can not wait for their August wedding at the Gardens of Castle Rock where there will be plenty of music, outdoor activities and just as much fun as we had for their fall engagement session!
