Minneapolis Engagement Session:: Kate and Sam

What’s not to love about doughnuts and Goldendoodles? Nothing really! Just add in a sweet couple like Kate and Sam, and my day was made!

Kate was a bridesmaid in a wedding I shot a few years ago, so when she reached out and said that she really wanted me to photograph her wedding, I was thrilled.

We had to incorporate their sweet pooch into as many of the photos as we could, as well as a trip to Glam Doll Doughnuts because of Sam’s love of the sweet dough-y goodness. Despite the rain, Kate and Sam made the most of their session, and we of course all enjoyed doughnuts at the end of the evening!

Minnetonka Engagement Session:: Glenn and Michelle

They wanted to incorporate their love for the city of Minneapolis along with the nature center near their home that they frequent, so Michelle and Glenn chose to do photos downtown Minneapolis along the river and on the paths they run, bike or walk on every day. I simply can not wait for their May wedding!

St. Paul Engagement Session:: Jennifer and Don

He had a secret crush on her. Don and Jen were playing on the same co-ed softball team but at the time she was dating another guy. When the two broke up, Don asked her out for drinks and the two hit it off immediantly and started dating not long after.

Because both Jen and Don love softball and baseball, we naturally had to go to the field they have played on together for years to start their engagement session. From there we headed to the beautiful Como Park for more photos capturing the beautiful September weather!

I simply can not wait for their May wedding when we will have just as much fun, if not more, as they tie the knot!

When she found me on Instagram, we connected right away, and in our first meeting, I felt as if I was with old friends. Their engagement session wasn’t any different. We started out at Spyhouse Coffee in Minneapolis drinking coffee and laughing on the most perfect July evening. From there we wandered to Brehaus Brewing Lab and then over to the St. Anthony area where we ended our evening. I simply can not wait for their October wedding day!

Minneapolis Engagement Session:: Jackson and Emily

The sweet janitor at their church introduced them. He had known Jackson for years as he had grown up in the church, and when Emily started as the new youth pastor, the older gentleman knew that it was a match meant to be. He was right. When Jackson finally got the nerve to ask Emily out, the two settled on a Mexican restaurant, and closed the place down after five hours of talking!

Their contageous joy, kind hearts and love for friends, family and the Lord is apparent in all they do. With an 80% chance of rain, we lucked out with a calm cool summer evening for their engagement session. If this day was reflective of their wedding day, I simply can not wait for what it has in store for us.

Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.

After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.

One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
