Intercontinental Hotel Wedding:: Keara and Nick

When they met at a house party in ninth grade, neither Nick or Keara was even thinking of marriage.  But when fate brought them back together in 2016 while they were working out at the same gym, it became more of a possibility.  Their first date included a Wild game and time in Rice Park.  It was there they talked about their professions and love for their family.

One year later, the two headed back to Rice Park, this time Nick had another intention. He connected with both his and Keara’s family and everyone was in on the event.   Keara’s mom met her for martinis at the Saint Paul Hotel and while the girls talked, Nick gathered the families out in Rice Park by the big blue Christmas tree.  When Keara and her mother walked out of the restaurant and over to the tree, Keara found Nick on one knee with their families gathered around as Nick asked her to be his wife.

The two decided on a New Year’s Eve wedding in St. Paul at the Intercontinental Hotel. They both really wanted to spend as much time with family and friends as they could as well as take advantage of the snow and beauty of winter.

Keara wore her mother’s wedding dress that was altered by Alex from Frank Murphy and it fit her beautifully.

Keara’s gorgeous wedding ring from Kay was the perfect mix of modern meets classic.

Her bridesmaids all chose their own rose gold dresses from David’s bridal that highlighted each of their personalities.

Nick and his groomsmen all wore Tuxes and bowties from Men’s Warehouse for a classic winter look.

Hy-Vee created the beautiful classic white rose bouquets with greens as the florals for Nick and Keara’s day.

We headed over to Rice Park after their ceremony for a few night photos as the snow fell creating a fairytale like setting for all to ring in the New Year.

Friends and family danced and rang in the new year with Adan from Ambient Entertainment.

What an honor it was for me to spend the day with this kind and caring couple. Nick and Keara, thank you for allowing me to spend this last day of 2018 celebrating with you and your friends and family, it was a joy and honor!

Langseth Extended Family:: Chippewa Falls, WI

These are my people.  No really, they are.  They are my family.

See that sweet girl with the curly hair, and looks like me? She’s my baby sister.  She got the curls and the height, I got the stick straight hair and the short genes of our family.  She’s fast and super athletic, and I just try to be. She is an amazing mom of six incredible kids, and I can hardly handle my three.

That guy she’s standing next to… He’s my brother in law.  We’ve all known each other since they were 15 and even that short time when they were broken up, we all somehow knew Claire and Andrew would end up together.  I’ve known his brother since he was shorter than me, and have photographed his sister’s and his brother’s weddings in the past few years and have known his parents for as long as I can remember.  They are my family.  Even though my sister and brother in law are really the only ones that are directly related to me, my kids call Andrew’s mom Grandma Lynn, and my son still is convinced that somehow Gabe, Mikaela, Rachel, Jared and Luke are his aunts and uncles.

So when sweet Naomi entered the world this summer and Jared contacted me to do an newborn photos and an extended family photo of the entire Langseth side, I had to convince Ben that he wouldn’t be seeing his extended aunts and uncles this time around.  We met in the quaint city of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin (of which I never knew was so cute, I will be going there again!) at a park that was perfect to photograph all their family members, as well as end with celebration of joy and jubilee and water!

Karen, I met you briefly one afternoon, at a shower for Claire. I had the good fortune of snagging your lovely sister off of Sittercity.com, a random crossing of paths if ever there was one. She and Andrew were boyfriend/girlfriend at the time. We enjoyed their friendship for a few years….you do beautiful work. And I love to see their family pop up from time to time. Blessings to you all!

    Marty & Tina:: Milwaukee Wedding

They both love the holidays. And Chicago.

And they had been searching for the right person for a while.  Through bad dates and relationships the two finally connected through Match.  Marty reviewed Tina’s profile, liked what he saw and called her to set up a date.  Tina listened to it numerous times and even reviewed with her good girlfriends before agreeing to go out with him.  And what a great time they had.  It even fulfilled a desire her mother had for Tina, telling her that she would meet the man she would marry within two weeks of her golden birthday year.  She met Marty with only two weeks left of they year!

The two hit it off right away and were a perfect match for each other.  Since being tougher the two have made it a point to go to Chicago for the Holiday’s and to celebrate anniversaries.  On the second year of being together, it wasn’t a surprise that Marty brought Tina to their favorite city.  After a day of  activities, the night came and the two ended up on a bench beneath the moonlight.  At that time, Marty took a knee and asked Tina to be his bride!

Their wedding day was beautiful and such a joy to be a part of, not only because they are an amazing couple to be around, but because Marty is my husband’s cousin.  We were thrilled to be able to spend time with family and meet many of their amazing friends, who warmly welcomed us.  It was an honor and privilege to be a part of this beautiful wedding celebration!  Much love and hugs to you, Mr. Mrs. Klos!!

    And here is your slideshow!!
