Gathered Oaks Wedding :: Alexandria, MN

They laugh about it now, but Amber and Jesse met at a house party in college. As soon as Amber saw Jesse, she called dibs on him in front of her friends. The two bonded over a game of pong, got each other’s numbers, and shortly after started dating. Over the course of a few years, the two new they were destined for one another. Jesse had been planning the proposal for months. He decided to take a weekend trip up to the north shore in Duluth, Minnesota with Amber. They did all the typical Duluth things from seeing the lighthouses to exploring the downtown area to doing some beautiful hikes. One evening, around sunset, the two decided to go to the beach to look at the Wisconsin beach lighthouse. It was an incredible night, and the two were completely alone on the beach. It was there that Jesse got down on one knee and asked Amber to be his wife.

Gathered Oaks was the perfect location for Amber and Jesse to host their beautiful summer wedding day. The day was filled with laughter and tears and it was an incredible joy to photograph so many emotional moments. Amber began the morning by getting ready at Ella‘s Salon and then got into her dress purchased at Our Shop Bridal in the beautiful bridal suite at Gathered Oaks. She then did a first look with her dad, and then went out to meet her groom. Friends and family watched from the balcony as Amber and Jesse did their first look, and then read their intimate vows to one another. The wedding party then joined us for photos on the lawn, the women looked stunning in their, Agave Azazie dresses, and the men look stunning in their navy suits from Men’s Wearhouse.

Thunderstorms and rain were forecasted for the day for the entire week, but the clouds parted, and the sun came out at the perfect time for Amber and Jesse’s beautiful ceremony . The two were wed and exchanged rings from Wedding Day Diamonds. As they were pronounced husband and wife, guests cheered as the lake shone brilliantly through the trees. Raaper‘s Catering Company provided an incredible meal while at Al Edwards Entertainment brought the party to life.

We snuck away for some beautiful golden hour photos on the lake, and then Jesse and Amber continued to dance the night away with guests at their reception. Raaper’s brought a food truck in late for night snacks while the sun sunk into the sky creating a beautiful end to a perfect day.

Jesse and Amber, it was so wonderful to spend your day with you, congratulations! Have a fabulous time on your honeymoon in Nashville!

Green Acres Event Center:: Eden Prairie, MN

In the beginning, they didn’t seem like an obvious match, but after connecting over their shared love of competitive reality shows such as survivor and big brother, the two quickly began chatting and then dating. After a few years, Nia had wanted Nick to propose, and had been waiting for the question. Nick wanted their engagement to be something special and memorable. He ended up booking a birthday trip up to Duluth in March 2021 for the two of them. He secretly packed the ring up as a birthday present, and the two were engaged that evening.

Green Acres was the perfect venue for Nick and Nia to tie the knot. The girls began their warm June day at Coles Salon in Savage with hair and make up and then headed over to the venue. Nick and his groomsmen met them there and they all began getting ready in the gorgeous barn venue. Nia‘s beautiful white Maggie Soretto dress from the wedding shop was perfect when paired with the burgundy and pink flowers design in bloom created for the day. Nick and Nia had a joyous first look and their wedding party, dressed in burgundy tea length dresses from JJ’s house and gray suits from Millbourne’s clothing, then joined them for some fun. Family photos followed and then guests began to arrive to celebrate with the happy couple. Nia’s step grandfather married the couple, and they both exchanged rings from wedding day diamonds and brilliant earth. Guests celebrated as Nick and Nia exited and then greeted guests for their cocktail hour where the bartenders whipped up drinks perfect to celebrate the occasion.

Green mill catering provided a tasty meal for dinner while all puffed up bakery created an exquisite wedding cake for the couple and guests to enjoy. Mike from peak entertainment got the party started while Ben from Seoul centered films captured it all on video.

Congratulations, Nick and Nia! Your day was spectacular! What a joy it was to work with you. Enjoy your incredible honeymoon to Australia and New Zealand!

University of Northwestern Wedding:: St. Paul, MN

It’s no secret that I love being able to capture life’s wonderful moments for people. Of my favorite through is when I have siblings from past weddings reach out to do their upcoming wedding and I have another chance to see their families and document another incredible moment in time for them.

When this incredible couple reached out and told me that they would be having their wedding at the same place my husband and I were married at years ago, I was thrilled for them! The University of Northwestern holds a special place in my heart. Not only was I married and a student there, I also grew up on campus running around with my siblings as my dad, a finance professor, would continually bring us there on weekends while he would grade papers and meet with students. It is a stunning campus filled with breathtaking architecture and history.

The bride began her morning getting ready in the bridal suite as the ladies had their hair and make-up done by Primped. We captured all the details including the bride’s beautiful ring purchased at a local Tennessee jeweler and the invitations from Minted. The bride then got on her stunning Morilee gown from the Wedding Shoppe.

The groom had prepared for the day and was filled with excitement and anticipation. We then utilized the incredible grounds of the University of Northwestern as spring had finally shown it’s face on this glorious May afternoon. The wedding party joined us for photos, ladies in beautiful navy gowns from Azazie, and the men looking sharp in their grey Calvin Klein tuxes from Men’s Warehouse. Family also had photos taken and the stunning bouquets and boutonnieres created by Revel & Flourish popped when placed against the spring colors.

The bride and groom then went into hiding while family and friends from all over the United States and England showed up to support and bless the happy couple. The two then exchanged vows in Nazareth Chapel after Ovation String Quartet played a beautiful sonnet and the ceremony ended with a heartfelt exit and then headed into a few golden hour photos. Upon returning to the Nazareth Great Room, the happy couple was greeted by guests from all over the United States. They enjoyed dinner from Bon Appetit and cake from Buttercream. What an incredible night with these two! Congratulations!

Saint Lucia Wedding :: Virgin Islands

They met on the app Hinge. Kelsey, from the flatlands of Tennessee, and Brian from Minnesota, connected in 2021 when Kelsey moved up to Minnesota. After dating for a while, Brian suggested the two of them get dressed up and go out to dinner in Hudson. As they walked along the beautiful pier on the Minnesota/ Wisconsin border, Brian got down on one knee and asked Kelsey to marry him. The two quickly decided they wanted to do something different to get away from the Minnesota weather, and decided on the beautiful Virgin Island of St. Lucia.

Lush, green, and full of beauty, the Sandals resort of La Toc in Saint Lucia was a perfect location for their destination wedding. Gorgeous turquoise waters surrounded the island with the Piton Mountains hovering in the background to make an incredible landscape for photos.

Kelsey began the day at the beautiful Red Line Spa that is featured at every Sandals resort getting her hair and make up done. She looked incredible! We then continued in her hotel room by photographing her incredible details from her Maggie Soretto Designs Dress purchased at the Wedding Shoppe in St. Paul to her beautiful rings from Continental Diamonds. She and her bridesmaids, wearing light blue dresses from Azazie, got ready and then Kelsey went to meet Brian on the beautiful grounds of the resort.

After an emotional first look and an intimate time of reading their vows to one another, we were joined by their wedding party who all had traveled from different states to celebrate with Kelsey and Brian. We wandered all over the beautiful La Toc resort which ranged from the golden sandy beach to a beautiful sone wall covered in vines and florals.

The ceremony was absolutely stunning and Kelsey and Brian exited in joy as they were united as husband and wife! Guests gathered on the sand for photos and a joyous celebration with confetti and cheers of joy! A stunning sunset waved the day away and provided a glorious golden hour as guests gathered for the reception at Sunset Bluffs. A five course meal was provided ranging from Ahi Tuna to Coffee-rubbed sirloin, shrimp, grilled supreme chicken and a raging dance party followed. Kelsey then changed into a lightweight dress, perfect for dancing in the midnight air!

Kelsey and Brian, thank you so much for having us capture your big day! We are so thankful for both of you and feel so honored you would choose to celebrate with you! Congratulations!

Saint Michael Catholic Church Wedding:: St. Michael, MN

After a fender bender in a rented pickup truck, Katie and Steve made their way down to Capital Grille for a dinner and then off to Orchestra Hall for Brahams 2nd symphony (a favorite of Katie’s). When the concert came to a conclusion, the couple then headed off to Maple Lake for star gazing from the back of the pickup truck in a farm field.  As they listened to Lone Star’s Amazed, Steve got down on one knee and asked Katie if she would marry him. With joy, she said yes and the two began planning their spring wedding.

With its latest beautiful renovations, the Saint Michael Catholic Church is a masterpiece located in the heart of St. Michael, Minnesota. Katie and Steve were the first of many weddings to take place here this year on a this beautiful and rainy April day.

Katie and her girls began the getting ready process at home and finished up at the church where she was helped by her mother and daughters into her beautiful wedding gown purchased from Xandy’s Bridal House. She and Steve then had an intimate first look and together we headed to a few places on the church grounds where we dodged the rain for couple more photos. We met back up with their wedding party and family for more traditional photos on the alter and then got ready for the mass to begin. Emotional and uplifting the two exchanged rings from Loch Jewelers while friends and family watched and gave their blessings to the couple. They ceremony concluded with a joyful exit and later in the evening friends and family gathered to celebrate the couple.

Katie and Steve, what a blessing it was to be a part of your day. Congratulations and best wishes to you and your family!
