Brickhouse wedding :: White Bear Lake, MN

Love knows no season, but there’s something undeniably magical about a winter wedding, especially when set against the backdrop of a beautiful Catholic church in Forest Lake, Minnesota. Andy and Raina’s wedding day was an enchanting celebration of a love that blossomed amidst the crisp winter air and the warm embrace of family and friends.

The ceremony took place at The Church of St. Peter in Forest Lake. The air inside was filled with the warmth of love and the melodies of sacred vows. The bridal party, adorned in emerald green velvet dresses and sharp grey suits, created a striking contrast against the traditional church setting. Raina was beautiful in her Justin Alexander wedding dress from Bridal Accents Couture.

One of the standout features of this winter wedding was the bridesmaids’ attire. Instead of the traditional winter colors, Raina opted for a stunning and unexpected choice – emerald green velvet dresses from Revelry. The men wore sharp grey suits from Men’s Warehouse that accented the women’s dresses well. The rich, deep green added a touch of warmth to the winter scene, and the luxurious velvet texture enhanced the overall elegance of the bridal party.

Following the ceremony, Raina and Andy braved the winter chill for some breathtaking photos. Against the snow-covered landscape of White Bear Lake, the emerald green coat that Raina wore (which was her grandmother’s) was perfectly paired with pops of green and pinecones in the beautiful bouquet created by Michele of Custom Floral Design. The couple wandered around Matoska Park where the sun shone brightly and cast a golden glow over the icy landscape. As Raina and Andy embraced in the brisk and cold air, timeless photographs that reflected the essence of their love were created.

The celebration continued at Brickhouse in White Bear Lake, where the couple hosted an intimate gathering of around 50 close friends and family members. The rustic charm of the venue perfectly complemented the winter theme, creating an atmosphere of warmth and joy. Choosing a more casual and intimate approach, Raina and Andy opted for an appetizer-style reception, treating their guests to a delightful array of small bites of shrimp, crab cakes and pizzas. Specialty drinks flowed freely, adding a touch of uniqueness to the celebration.

As the sun began to set, the wedding party ventured outdoors to capture the golden hues of twilight at a beautiful gazebo. The winter landscape provided a stunning backdrop as the laughter and joy of the celebration echoed in the crisp air. It was truly a beautiful day to celebrate Raina and Andy. Congratulations!!

Landmark Center Wedding :: St. Paul, MN

Being the new kid is not always easy, but when Grant moved from the East Coast to a small town in South Dakota as a freshman in high school, he was noticed right away by all. More specifically by one soccer player, Rachel. The two hit it off right away as as good friends and then as sophomores decided to go to prom together. By their junior year, they had gone on a few dates and became inseparable. They dated throughout the rest of high school and into college. After one incredible proposal on Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, the two decided that October would be the perfect time for a wedding.

The Landmark Center in St. Paul, Minnesota was the perfect location for Rachel and Grant to host their beautiful October wedding. The day was filled with laughter and tears and it was an incredible joy to photograph so many emotional moments. Rachel and her bridesmaids began the morning by getting ready at the Saint Paul Hotel where Primped did hair and make-up for all the women in their suite. Rachel‘s mom then helped her get into her beautiful dress from Brides ‘n’ Bells and shoes from Nina Bridal. She then headed outside to the beautiful hotel garden to meet Grant. It was an emotional first look for both of them, but when they saw their sweet Frenchie, Haven, they were both back to smiles and laughter!

The wedding party then joined us for photos in Rice Park, the James J Hill Library, and in front of the Saint Paul Hotel. The women looked beautiful in their olive green dresses from David’s Bridal, while the men supported dapper grey suits from The Suit Shop. Family then joined us for more photos, and then we headed inside to get ready for their ceremony.

Heidi from Jenna Culley Events made sure the day ran smoothly, and Jamie of Wilderland Floral created the most stunning florals for the day. Linen Effects provided the gold chairs and decor that matched Rachel’s vision for the day. Laurie Leigh Harpist provided beautiful music as Rachel walk down the aisle, and Matt Deboer, a friend of the couple, married Grant and Rachel. The two exchanged rings; Grants from Buchkosky Jewelers and Rachel’s gold band from her grandmother. As the two were pronounced husband and wife, guests cheered and the couple took a few moments to themselves. D’Amico Catering provided an incredible meal and dessert table for guests, while Mitch from Instant Request brought the party to life.

Congratulations Rachel and Grant, your day was amazing! I had so much fun getting to know the both of you and I wish you too many years of love and joy! Hope your honeymoon was incredible!

7 Vines Vineyard Wedding:: Dellwood, MN

The two both met when they joined the same coed volleyball team. After getting to know each other better, Maggie and Ben decided to go on a few dates and they hit it off very quickly. After dating for a few years, Ben made an outdoor dinner reservation at the Twins Spirits Distillery in February. Maggie thought they were meeting with another couple, but when she arrived in their own personal little igloo, she found Ben on one knee proposing to her. After dinner and drinks, many of their closest friends and family were waiting at the Royal Foundry Distillery to celebrate with the newly engaged couple.

Having many of these friends and family together again was so exciting for Ben and Maggie. 7 Vines Vineyard was a perfect location for their late September wedding day. This beautiful vineyard, set in the rolling hills of Dellwood Minnesota, was a perfect location for their outdoor ceremony. Maggie’s Robert Bullock gown purchased from Che Bella Boutique fit her perfectly, and was even more beautiful when paired with the dark lavender bridesmaid dresses from Raffine Bridal & Formal Wear . Laurie LeClair from Flore Inspired created the most beautiful and colorful bouquets for both Maggie and her bridesmaids. Ben and his groomsmen sported classic black suits from Milbern Clothing Co and were all a joy to be with on the wedding day.

After first look with her bridesmaids, Maggie, headed for a first look with her father, and then with Ben. The two spent the afternoon perusing the beautiful grounds of 7 Vines Vineyard with their wedding party for photos followed by family photos together on the veranda. Their wedding ceremony took place during a beautiful golden hour, and after it was over, Maggie‘s father toasted the newlyweds in front of all the guests. Stonehouse Catering provided a tasty meal while Cossetta brought in sweet treats for guests to enjoy after dinner. Josh of Harmony DJ welcomed the couple and guests to the dance floor and the party began and did not stop until the night was over. Right before the end of the evening, the rains came, and we headed outside for a quick romantic photo in the rain.

Maggie and Ben, thank you for an incredible day and congratulations. I can’t wait to see where like life takes you as you explore many more places together!!

Cast and Cru Wedding :: Wayzata, MN

What started out as a friendship of two separate people, one living in Phoenix, Arizona, the other living in Minneapolis, Minnesota became a sweet relationship for Sarah and Jeremy. After dating long distance for the majority over their relationship, the two have learned how to communicate well and over the course of time, and through their love of hiking and breweries, the two fell in love. In January 2023, Sarah was out on a hike with Jeremy‘s sister in Phoenix. Much to her surprise when they got to the top of the summit, Jeremy stood holding a bouquet of roses, and was surrounded by photos of the two of them. Sarah was completely surprised to see him and he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

Sarah and her bridesmaids began their day getting ready at the Hair District in Chanhassen and then made their way over to Saint Hubert’s Church where the wedding ceremony would be held. Sarah ‘s mother helped her get into her boho Valentina by Wilderly dress purchased at the Wedding Shoppe in Saint Paul. We then headed to the Mary Garden where Sarah would do a first look with her father and photos with her bridesmaids. Jeremy and his groomsmen followed in there dashing black taxes from Men’s Wearhouse. We were able to do the majority of their photos in the same garden. Both Jeremy and Sarah chose not to do a first look, which made the ceremony so sweet as Sarah walked down the aisle, and Jeremy saw her for the first time. The couple exchanged rings from Shane Co. and ended their ceremony with as kiss as guests applauded.

After the ceremony was over, the couple then headed to celebrate the reception at Cast and Cru in Wayzata, Minnesota. Upon arrival we were able to do photos with the wedding party along the beautiful Lake Minnetonka. The women were dressed in a variety of rich emerald dresses from Birdy Gray, and when paired with the beautiful fall blooms from Chanhassen Foral, they looked stunning. The maid of honor and the best man brought fun and emotional speeches while guests enjoyed a delicious meal from the chef at Cast and Cru. Sotalicious Bakery created a stunning wedding cake that the couple cut as guests looked on. The evening was perfect for some golden hour photos on the front lawn and the night came to a beautiful close as GenerationNow Entertainment brought incredible music for all to enjoy. Congratulations, Sarah and Jeremy! Enjoy your incredible honeymoon on the North Shore of Minnesota.

Abella Farm Wedding :: Chisago City, MN

They met long ago. Tyler, a young engineer, trying to leave his mark on the industry crossed paths with Ashley, an ambitious analytical chemist, working to be a hero of science. There were meetings, emails, laughs, collaborations, and as Tyler likes to say, even hateful stares. Years passed and the two went their separate ways. During the pandemic, emails were exchanged and Ashley and Tyler caught up. Their lives continued to intertwine, and eventually the two moved in together, and began sharing their lives.

On Ashley’s birthday, Tyler arranged a series of stops in Northeast Minneapolis for dinner and drinks. One of the stops included Inbound Brewing, which is where the couple had gone on their first date. Tyler arranged to have friends and family there to meet them and upon her arrival, they each brought Ashley a purple rose. Finally, after Ashley’s sister and their two boys entered, Tyler came back while a song played in the background and in front of all, asked Ashley to be his wife.

The two chose to be wed at the beautiful French Country Abella Farm in Chisago City over Labor Day weekend. Ashley and her bridesmaids got ready in the beautiful bridal suite while Tyler and his groomsmen got dressed and hung out in the grooms granary area. Ashley‘s mother then helped get her into her elegant Made with Love dress purchased at A&Be bridal Boutique. Ashley‘s bridesmaids, all wearing different lavender Azazie gowns, then helped get her ready to see her father and then Tyler for their first looks. Their wedding party, then joined us for photos and fun on the patio. The men, all wearing suits from The Black Tux, looked dapper when paired with all the ladies and florals created by Bellagalla.

Ashley and Tyler were married in the Willows a perfect green space at the farm. Guests arrived to the site courtesy of the trolley, and then were seated to under a lush canopy of willow trees. Tyler‘s stepfather married the couple and the two exchanged rings from Wedding Day Diamonds. After the ceremony guests were brought back to the patio area where they were able to enjoy appetizers and drinks from Elmo catering. Local Surly beer was on tap and Northerly Photo Booth arrived for guests to be photographed in remembrance of Ashley and Tyler’s wedding day. Coasters with each guest’s name and state were placed at every setting and were created individually by Ashley and Tyler themselves. MN Nice Cream arrived in an ice cream truck at the end of the meal for guests to enjoy while Ashley and Tyler snuck away for some beautiful golden hour photos in front of the historic barn and wide open fields. The party got started after toasts and Ashley and Tyler kicked off the dance with first dances. It was truly an incredible day and I felt so honored to be a part of it. Ashley and Tyler, congratulations, and enjoy your incredible honeymoon to San Francisco and  St. Lucia.
