Forgotten Star Brew Co. Wedding :: Fridley MN

She had her fair share of dates that just didn’t seem like the right one, and he’d had his as well. So when Suzie and Scott were matched on Tinder, both had no idea what was coming! Both loved (and still love!) running, reading, dogs, cooking, travel, breweries, and espically family. They both knew that the date might be headed to more than just that one date when they connected on so many similar things. And they were right. One date led to another until they were on the beach in Florida in 2020 with Suzie, her parents and their daughter. Scott asked Suzie to be his wife and she joyously said yes.

Suzie and Scott chose to host their wedding at Forgotten Star Brewing Co in Fridley, MN. They wanted to make the holiday weekend one that guests could relax and enjoy while still celebrating with them. They began the day getting ready at the Brewery for thir first look with each other and then their kids. Suzie looked stunning in her Zinnia dress from Annika Bridal and Molly from Willow Salon gave her the most beautiful updo. Amy Rachael highlighted Suzie’s already beautiful face with the perfect make-up. Suzie’s bridesmaids all wore their periwnkle dress in different styles created by Infinity Dress and the homegrown flowers of peooey’s, cornflowers and greens Ink ‘N Flower put together were perfect for Suzie and Scott’s relaxed July day. We utulized the historic industrial indoor space for photos both of the brewery and the murals. We then headed outdoors for more photos outside of the space and added family and wedding party.

The ceremony began and guests were thrilled and entertained to see Suzie and Scott’s children coming down the aisle followed by Suzie in her stunning dress. Her father gave her away and there was not a dry eye in the place. As the ceremony concluded and Scott, Suzie and their children were presented, guests cheered and celebrated this incredible couple. A host of local craft beers from Forgotten Star were provided along with wood fired Neapolitan pizza from Tru Pizza; the only mobile wood fire food truck. (It was delicious!) Nadia Cakes brought the sweet treats for guests to enjoy later in the evening and Rock It Man Entertainment got the party going by dueling it out with dueling pianos. We headed out for photos along the Mississippi River with Suzie wearing a cute and stylish jean jacked with her new name embroidered on the back and got a dreamy golden hour. Guests danced the night away right into an incredible weekend. Thank you Suzie and Scott. I can’t wait for you to run your Berlin Marathon together on your honeymoon as you celebrate life together. Congratulations!

The Beach Club Wedding :: Minneapolis, MN

It might have been the Goo Goo Dolls or Third Eye Blind that was playing on that fateful night in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Neither Tim or Milada remembers clearly, but on that beautiful summer evening at the Wold’s Largest Music Festival their world’s collided and the two ended up chatting. Both had just finished up their senior year and planned a quick trip to Sommerfeast. Later that summer, to both of their surprise, the two found themselves living in the same dorm for their freshman year at UW-Madison, where they lived only 6 floors apart. Since that time, the two have been inseparable

The day after Milada committed to UW’s Medical School, Tim got the help of his siblings and friends (and even a pup!) to help set up rose petals, twinkle lights, a beautiful flower wall, lavish bouquets of flowers, and balloons to surprise Milada. As she entered the home they had set everything up in, Tim proposed. It was an incredible surprise and of course Milada said yes!

Tim and Milada chose to host their wedding at The Beach Club in Minneapolis. Located right off the Bde Maka Ska shoreline, the club is known for it’s class and elegance and provides the perfect backdrop for a beautiful urban wedding. Milada and her ladies began their morning getting ready with Sandy Xiong who did hair and make-up. They arrived at The Beach Club and got ready in the beautiful bridal suite where Milada mother helped her into her stunning dress from Vera’s House of Bridals. She and Tim chose to do their first look on the winding staircase, and then headed outdoors for photos on the streets in front of the club. The wedding party soon joined them with the ladies wearing blush colored dresses from David’s Bridal. The bouquets of garden roses and hydrangea from Richfiled Florals were the perfect accents when placed against the dresses and the classic black suits Tim and his groomsmen wore. We then headed to the green space near the club with the wedding party and had such a blast together with the men posing with croquet sticks (Tim’s favorite outdoor game!) and the women enjoying their time together.

The ceremony began with Milada and her father walking down the grand staircase and Tim and Milada exchanged rings from Chalmer’s Jewelers and James Allen while their guests looked on. The couple were celebrated as they were pronounced husband and wife, and then greeted guests on the Solarium Terrace for hors d’oeuvres and then headed in for an incredible dinner provided by D’Amico Catering. Alexis of Rosewood Events and Weddings helped Tim and Milada’s wedding day vision come to life and the ceremony and reception space were absolutely stunning. After toasts and cake, the couple came to the dance floor for their first dance and Adagio kept the party going form guests all night long. We ended the night with a beautiful golden hour in front of the club and on the lake. Tim and Milada, congratulations. What a beautiful day we had.

Croix View Farm Wedding:: Osceola WI

On a cold and snowy Minnesota winter day, Lane asked Madison to go for a walk at Minnehaha Falls. It was the peak of Covid and there wasn’t much else to do, so she thought nothing of it. They had invited a few friends to meet them there to walk and upon arriving, the couples headed to the falls to take in the beauty of the Minnesota day. When they reached the bottom, one of their friends suggested taking a photo together with the falls behind them. As they set up the photo, Lane got down on one knee and asked Madison to marry him. She said a joyous yes, and the entire proposal was documented!

Their beautiful summer day began with hair and makeup done by the talented team of SM Hair and Makeup and kicked off the morning with mimosas and toasts in their match robes. They day continued as Madison slipped into her Justin Alexander dress from Our Shop Bridal. The bridesmaids wore beautiful desert coral dresses from David’s Bridal and were paired with colorful summer blooms put together by the incredible Jennifer Lageson. Their simple invitations from Magnet Street were the perfect foretaste of how the day would be. to Lane and his groomsmen sported grey suits from the Knights Chamber.

Friends and family traveled from all over the United States and even the United Kingdom to celebrate with Madison and Lane. The two were wed at the beautiful Croix View Farm in Osceola, Wisconsin. One of their close family friends officiated the ceremony as they exchanged rings from Shane Co and celebrated with a tasty meal from We Cater To You, a catering company Madison worked at in college! We Cater To You also provided the stunning cake and Studio Veil brought the guests to the dance floor. The couple spent time creating signs and decorations that could be used later on and chose to have their guests sign corn hole boards as their personal guest book and guests used the fun photo book from Studio Veil to remember the day. KAS films captured the day beautifully and the day ended with a stunning sparkler exit on the farm.

The Minikahda Club Wedding :: Minneapolis, MN

As avid hikers and adventurers, Maddie and Rob have been on many trips together. One such early in their relationship trip took them to Lake Tahoe to hike, mountain bike and explore. Being that it was one of the first “trips” together, Rob knew that when he was going to propose to Maddie they would be back. In April of 2021, Rob planned a surprise trip back to Lake Tahoe. As they began their first hike of the trip and about a mile in on the Rubicon State Trail, Rob asked Maddie to be his wife! For the rest of the trip they were able to celebrate together and begin planning for their May wedding.

Maddie and her family began their day getting ready at the home they all grew up in. Longtime friend and hair dresser, Meg Cargas came to the home and gave Maddie a beautiful updo while Paige Bodene focused on subtle and stunning make up for the ladies. Maddie’s sister helped her into her classic wedding dress from Che Bella. We captured a few photos of Maddie’s family at the house and then headed to the Basilica of St. Mary in Minneapolis where Maddie and Rob would be married. Both Rob and Maddie chose not to do a first look. The ceremony began with Maddie’s nieces and nephews coming down the aisle… some ok with it and a few having a harder time! Maddie and her father followed with tears shed and a beautiful ceremony followed.

The couple the headed to celebrate their reception at the Minikahda Club in a classic Rolls Royce. Upon arrival, we were able to get some family photos on the outside deck and then headed into the beautifully decorated ballroom thanks to the staff at the club and Westdale Floral who brought in an array of Peony’s, garden roses and Anemones; all in Maddie’s favorite color, pink. Both sets of parents brought tear jerking speeches while guests enjoyed a delicious meal and cake created by Patti Soskin at YUM! The evening was perfect for some golden hour photos on the front lawn of the club, and the night came to a beautiful end as Blue Water Kings Band brought incredible music for all. Congratulations Maddie and Rob, I could not be happier for you. Enjoy your incredible Italian Honeymoon!

          Loring Social:: MInneapolis Wedding

It was their first week of college at the University of Minnesota. Both Jenna and Joaquin were excited to be on campus and meeting new people. In the freshman dorms, the two were introduced to one another and clicked right away. Four years later, during the fall of their senior, the two biked to their first date as a couple to Indeed Brewery in Northeast Minneapolis and the rest is history!

Their June wedding day had finally arrived and I could not have been more excited. Because Jenna and Joaquin reside in New York, we had only met over Zoom and I could not wait to finally meet this sweet couple in person. Robyn of Artesmia Studios helped plan an incredible day for the couple and I knew every detail would be perfect. From the beautiful stationary from Zola to Jenna’s chic and classic wedding dress to the chic white florals created by Artesmia Studios, every element was unforgettable. Being that Joaquin and his family are from South America, the couple had friends and family from all over the world to celebrate the day with them.

We began the day with Jenna getting into her dress on her own and then meeting us at the beautiful Loring Social in Minneapolis. She and Joaquin chose to be photographed in Loring Park and we wandered the park for some fantastic shots and then back to the industrial area of Loring Social and captured family and friend portraits in the unique alleyway.

The couple chose to be married in the urban space of Loring Social. Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed the cocktail hour indoors and outdoors while enjoying the beautiful summer evening. D’amico Catering provided fresh salads, roasted cauliflower and potatoes and Beef and chicken. A beautiful dessert table of macaroons and other chocolate delicacies were provided while toasts, laughs and tears were had. Joaquin and Jenna began the reception dance by doing a traditional Uruguay waltz and then allowed guests to cut in and ‘steal’ one another’s partner’s, beginning with their own parents. This tradition continued as guest after guest was ushered onto the dance floor. Manny Druke of Transmission DJ did an incredible job of keeping the energy of the party alive throughout the night and what a party it was! Jenna and Joaquin, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day, it was an honor! I hope your European honeymoon is full of adventures and relaxation.
