Gardens of Castle Rock Wedding :: Northfield, MN

The two shared an APSU history class in high school together and Lizzy became smitten with the red head in her class. Eventually Luke’s friends coaxed Luke to ask Lizzy out and the two have been insepreprateble eight years and counting.

After dating long distance for over 4 years, Luke knew it was time to propose. He brought Lizzy to Stillwater and took her on a gondola ride over the St. Croix River. During the ride, Luke popped the question and Lizzy said yes! The following day Luke surprised Lizzy with an engagement party with all their friends and family.

The long time couple decided to exchange their vows and hold their ceremony at the beautiful Garden’s of Castle Rock in Northfield. Lizzy and her girls got ready in the beautiful bridal suite while Luke and his groomsmen spent the morning golfing and then hanging out. Lizzy’s mother helped her get into her beautiful Elly Bridal dress purchased at Bella Bridal Boutique. Her bridesmaids, all wearing different light blue Azazie gowns, then had a first look at Lizzy. Lizzy also chose to do a first look with the groomsmen, many that were her’s and Luke’s good friends, and then moved on to do a first look with Luke in the beautiful vineyard. LHN Beauty did Lizzy’s hair and Make up, and Linsdey and Hannah at Chapel of M kept the day moving through all the other photos and events of the day. The wedding party was so much fun, and ended hoisting the couple on their shoulders and cherring for the both of them in between dancing and celebrating!

Lizzy and Luke were married under the vines of the Lath House and exchanged ring; Lizzy’s from Helzberg Diamonds and Luke’s wooden ring from Ridgewood Rings. Midwest Sound started the reception off with a great mix of summer songs and Scheel’s Catering provided a tasty meal for all the guests. Friends and family provided bars and cookies for dessert and the floral table arrangements were put together by Something Borrowed Booms. The party got started after toasts and Luke and Lizzy kicked off the dance by pulling guests on the floor and dancing the night away. We headed out for a beautiful golden hour in the fields surrounding the venue and ended at the night at the marquee sign of The Powers from Alphalitps. It was an incredible day and I felt so honored to be a part of it. Luke and Lizzy, I hope your honeymoon in Mexico is amazing, congratulations!

Backyard Wedding :: Private Residence, MN

They were matched on Tinder and finally met in person at a Caribou. Christie and Blake ended up talking over coffee and when the shop closed, the two stayed even longer chatting in the parking lot. Both agreed to meet up the following day and spent even more time together and both knew they were meant to be together after Christie spent a weekend alone with Blake’s parents working on a gingerbread house!

After dating for a short time, both Christie and Blake knew they wanted to be married but never much thought about a true engagement story. Blake had picked up the ring he and Christie had picked out, but wanted to make the moment special. The couple was visiting Schram Winery on a beautiful summer day for a wine tasting. As they sat in the sun at the picnic tables afterward, Christie joked about Blake having the ring with him, and how perfect it would be for a proposal. She guessed that it might be with him, and after a few guesses, he surprised her with it under his hand and asked her to marry him.

Christie and Blake decided they wanted their wedding day to be less traditional and more of an event for friends and family to participate in with them. They chose to host their wedding day at Christie’s parents home in Southwestern, MN. Her parents had been updating their property for a few years and it seemed the perfect place to host a summer wedding. Christie got ready in the apartment on their property with one of her sisters doing her hair and make up. She looked stunning in her ivory Allure Bridal gown from Inspire Bridal Boutique. Blake and his father got ready in the house and he looked dapper in his grey suit from Knights Chamber Clothiers. The two had their first look in the grove of trees on the back of their property with Christie removing a blindfold off Blake. They continued with family photos there and then began the ceremony with Christie’s brother in law officiating and walked out to bubbles and whoops of celebratory cheers!

The celebration continued as Christie’s mother (a former caterer and incredible chef) created a beautiful grazing table for guests to enjoy during the cocktail hour. Guests played yard games ranging from bags to ladder ball while bartenders from the Minnesota School of Bartending mixed up cocktails (margaritas and Old Fashioned’s-the bride and groom’s signature cocktails) poured wine and served beer. Guests were encouraged to wander through the different tents throughout the property for drinks, appetizers, games, signing the poster guestbook created by Nibiru Design, speaking into the After the Tone Phone Recordings audio guestbook, taking photos at the Photo Booth, or boogie down to music hosted by Nicholas Thomas Entertainment and eventually serve themselves an incredible dinner made by Mimi Hendel. Christie’s sister, a pastry chef, created a macaroon cake and creme brûlée for guests to enjoy.

The day was hot, humid and a bit overcast, but we ended the evening by heading to Kinbrae Lake for a few photos on the water, then to Christie’s uncle’s farm for more golden hour photos and beautiful sunset photos. We celebrated with a champagne pop and sparklers. Christie and Blake ended up changing into lighter and cooler attire for the remainder of the evening where they were able to chat with friends and family and enjoy the rest of their beautiful day.

Christie and Blake, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your wedding day. Enjoy your honeymoon in Austin, Texas!!

Lumber Exchange Wedding :: Minneapolis, MN

Theirs is a story of middle school sweethearts growing up together. Heather and Ryan met while attending Crosswinds, a middle school magnet school. Heather’s focus was art and Ryan’s science. The couple continued attending middle school dances, high school dances, prom and eventually graduation together. Both decided upon different colleges (but in Wisconsin) and continued their long distance relationship with one another. Eventually they both graduated from college and Ryan began grad school in Indiana and Heather moved out to be with him. Upon graduating, the couple both chose professions in Chicago and now call the city home

In 2019, Heather and Ryan took a trip to Hawaii with Ryan’s family. They traveled to a beach under the guise of Ryan’s dad, who is an incredible photographer, going to take sunset photos. Ryan proposed right as sunset peaked with his dad there to take photos. Heather was very surprised! A local Hawaiian women saw the proposal, got very excited, ran off, and returned shortly with flowers to give to Heather.

Both Heather and Ryan chose to get married in 2021 in Heather’s parent’s backyard with only family in attendance and decided on 2022 being the year they would host a large celebration for both family and friends from near and far. The couple chose to host their ceremony and reception at the industrial Lumber Exchange in downtown Minneapolis. Being that Ryan comes from an Indian heritage, the couple chose to start the day in Indian garb. Full of color and vibrance and representing good luck and happiness, Heather wore a traditional red and gold sari and Ryan word a beautifully embroidered Kafni. The bridesmaids and groomsmen also wore wedding sari’s and Kafni.

The women began the day getting ready at the Lumber Exchange bridal suite with Heather’s beautiful updo done by Lisa Nghiem of LHN Beauty and Make up completed by Belissimo Salon. The women then were helped into their Sari’s while the men also got dressed and ready for the day. Heather and Ryan had an emotional first look and then we headed to the Stone Arch Bridge with family and the wedding party for some city photos with Rent my Party Bus. Upon returning, guests began arriving with Erica of Piece of Cake Wedding Planning, making sure that everything was perfectly timed for the beautiful ceremony. Heather and Ryan exchanged rings and vows and then took the seven steps together as they vowed to support and love one another. They ended the ceremony by exchanging flower garlands.

After the ceremony while guests conversed at Pourhouse for the social hour, Heather and Ryan proceeded to get into western attire. Heather in her beautiful gown from the Wedding Shoppe and Ryan in his sharp navy suit from Suit Supply. The couple chose to do a second first look and then the wedding party joined us for more formal photos. The light blue dresses from the Wedding Shoppe when paired with the bouquets that Heather created from the flowers at the Minneapolis Farmer’s Market looked stunning.

The Lumber Exchange provided an excellent meal for guests as well as tasty sweets for dessert. Heather and Ryan kicked off the party by doing one of the most amazing first dances and Instant Request kept the party going all night long. We ended our time with beautiful photos on the rooftop. Heather and Ryan, congratulations. It has been an honor to photograph you. May your happiness continue for many more years together.

Forgotten Star Brew Co. Wedding :: Fridley MN

She had her fair share of dates that just didn’t seem like the right one, and he’d had his as well. So when Suzie and Scott were matched on Tinder, both had no idea what was coming! Both loved (and still love!) running, reading, dogs, cooking, travel, breweries, and espically family. They both knew that the date might be headed to more than just that one date when they connected on so many similar things. And they were right. One date led to another until they were on the beach in Florida in 2020 with Suzie, her parents and their daughter. Scott asked Suzie to be his wife and she joyously said yes.

Suzie and Scott chose to host their wedding at Forgotten Star Brewing Co in Fridley, MN. They wanted to make the holiday weekend one that guests could relax and enjoy while still celebrating with them. They began the day getting ready at the Brewery for thir first look with each other and then their kids. Suzie looked stunning in her Zinnia dress from Annika Bridal and Molly from Willow Salon gave her the most beautiful updo. Amy Rachael highlighted Suzie’s already beautiful face with the perfect make-up. Suzie’s bridesmaids all wore their periwnkle dress in different styles created by Infinity Dress and the homegrown flowers of peooey’s, cornflowers and greens Ink ‘N Flower put together were perfect for Suzie and Scott’s relaxed July day. We utulized the historic industrial indoor space for photos both of the brewery and the murals. We then headed outdoors for more photos outside of the space and added family and wedding party.

The ceremony began and guests were thrilled and entertained to see Suzie and Scott’s children coming down the aisle followed by Suzie in her stunning dress. Her father gave her away and there was not a dry eye in the place. As the ceremony concluded and Scott, Suzie and their children were presented, guests cheered and celebrated this incredible couple. A host of local craft beers from Forgotten Star were provided along with wood fired Neapolitan pizza from Tru Pizza; the only mobile wood fire food truck. (It was delicious!) Nadia Cakes brought the sweet treats for guests to enjoy later in the evening and Rock It Man Entertainment got the party going by dueling it out with dueling pianos. We headed out for photos along the Mississippi River with Suzie wearing a cute and stylish jean jacked with her new name embroidered on the back and got a dreamy golden hour. Guests danced the night away right into an incredible weekend. Thank you Suzie and Scott. I can’t wait for you to run your Berlin Marathon together on your honeymoon as you celebrate life together. Congratulations!

The Beach Club Wedding :: Minneapolis, MN

It might have been the Goo Goo Dolls or Third Eye Blind that was playing on that fateful night in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Neither Tim or Milada remembers clearly, but on that beautiful summer evening at the Wold’s Largest Music Festival their world’s collided and the two ended up chatting. Both had just finished up their senior year and planned a quick trip to Sommerfeast. Later that summer, to both of their surprise, the two found themselves living in the same dorm for their freshman year at UW-Madison, where they lived only 6 floors apart. Since that time, the two have been inseparable

The day after Milada committed to UW’s Medical School, Tim got the help of his siblings and friends (and even a pup!) to help set up rose petals, twinkle lights, a beautiful flower wall, lavish bouquets of flowers, and balloons to surprise Milada. As she entered the home they had set everything up in, Tim proposed. It was an incredible surprise and of course Milada said yes!

Tim and Milada chose to host their wedding at The Beach Club in Minneapolis. Located right off the Bde Maka Ska shoreline, the club is known for it’s class and elegance and provides the perfect backdrop for a beautiful urban wedding. Milada and her ladies began their morning getting ready with Sandy Xiong who did hair and make-up. They arrived at The Beach Club and got ready in the beautiful bridal suite where Milada mother helped her into her stunning dress from Vera’s House of Bridals. She and Tim chose to do their first look on the winding staircase, and then headed outdoors for photos on the streets in front of the club. The wedding party soon joined them with the ladies wearing blush colored dresses from David’s Bridal. The bouquets of garden roses and hydrangea from Richfiled Florals were the perfect accents when placed against the dresses and the classic black suits Tim and his groomsmen wore. We then headed to the green space near the club with the wedding party and had such a blast together with the men posing with croquet sticks (Tim’s favorite outdoor game!) and the women enjoying their time together.

The ceremony began with Milada and her father walking down the grand staircase and Tim and Milada exchanged rings from Chalmer’s Jewelers and James Allen while their guests looked on. The couple were celebrated as they were pronounced husband and wife, and then greeted guests on the Solarium Terrace for hors d’oeuvres and then headed in for an incredible dinner provided by D’Amico Catering. Alexis of Rosewood Events and Weddings helped Tim and Milada’s wedding day vision come to life and the ceremony and reception space were absolutely stunning. After toasts and cake, the couple came to the dance floor for their first dance and Adagio kept the party going form guests all night long. We ended the night with a beautiful golden hour in front of the club and on the lake. Tim and Milada, congratulations. What a beautiful day we had.
