“Amazing” was the word that he almost whispered as he saw her for the first time, she giggled and grinned with her amazing dimples. “Do you think so?”
I felt like I should slither into a hole just so they could take the moment in together without the snaps going on in the background. Carrie and Michael’s entire wedding day was a day of respect and joy. The richness of their love emanated toward friends and family. The two were introduced by mutual high school friends and a friendship formed and over the course of time developed into a love for one another. I was blessed to be a part of their very intimate ceremony and capture some unforgettable moments at their reception. Thank you Carrie and Michael for allowing me to be a part of your day, I wish you a life time of happiness together.

Karen – I can’t believe how beautifully you captured the day. Thank you so much!!
A perfect winter wonderland. That is exactly what Michael and Carrie got for their amazing day. The had wonderful vendors that helped make the day fabulous.
The ceremony and many of the photos were done at the historic Mount Olivet Chapel in Plymouth.

Donatos Floral provided the beautiful flower arrangements for the day.
Carrie’s stunning dress as and veil were found at the Wedding Shoppe in St. Paul.

The Bridesmaid dresses were all found at The Wedding Chapel.

Tesa jewelers created both Carrie and Michael’s rings.

Friends and co-workers, Jesseca Aloisami and Jenny Theis, at the New Reflections salon in Plymouth did Carrie’s hair for the day . Erin Willy at the New Reflections Salon did Carrie’s make-up.
Renee’s provided transportation for the day.
Medina Golf and Country Club held the reception for the day, and Carrie and her mother crated the meun’s, place cards and table placings.

There were so many different yummy kinds of cupcakes at the reception that Woullette Bakery made.
Carrie sported some great pink flip-flops for the reception!

More to come on Friday!
One correction, Karen. The reception was at the Medina Golf and Country Club, not the Medina Ballroom. The photos are great – I love them.

Karen your pictures are amazing!!! Thank-you for sharing with us. Carrie and her family were great to work with!
They were neighbors at Taylor College for years. He finally asked her out on their first date which was a walk around Lake Calhoun, the place where he also proposed.
Everyone was in on the secret but Kristin. Being that her family had a love for photography and video, her parents were in the perfect location and perfectly hidden to video the final letter that Kristin received as she had been walking around the lake. From there, Kevin got down on one knee and asked the question, and it was all caught on video. (What wonderful footage their children will be able to see!)
This was the perfect way to end my 2010 season, and what better day than New Year’s Eve. The day was perfectly wintery for photos, and the laid back wedding party was awesome at braving the cold wind and weather. I was so blessed to be a part of this day. Kevin and Kristin, you are a beautiful couple, many blessings to you both as you start your lives together.

I really enjoy the wedding pictures of my nephew Kevin and new niece Kristin. I’d love to see others you’ve done. Anxious to see the family photos at church and learn how to order some.
Thanks, Claudia
It is an honor for me to work with so many great brides and grooms. Normally I am approached by the bride or the groom based on a referral, but for Kristin and Kevin’s wedding I was approached by Kristin’s parents to shoot their youngest daughter’s wedding. Chuck and his wife are actually videographers that I have worked with here and there for the last 5 years or so. Among all the photographers they work with in the Cities, they came to me first to see if I would photograph the wedding. I was completely honored, especially since their oldest daughter, Kimmie, is a photographer too! It was a great day and I was fortunate enough to have plenty of back up as Chuck had his crew along and as there were other wonderful photographers there shooting with me! We also worked with some fabulous vendors on this New Year’s eve wedding! More to come tomorrow!
Bearpath held the reception and getting ready photos.

Beyond the Garden brought in the colorful flowers for the day.

Prairie Party Rentals brought in the hanging balls and decorations at the reception.

Jewelry for Kristin was the stunning Epiphany

Kristin’s shoes were dyed orange especially for Kevin, who loves the color orange!

Kristin’s dress was beautiful on the hanger, and stunning on her!

Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.
Welcome to the world, sweet girl
Spring soirée perfection.
Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
Congratulations, Rob and Sarah!
