Ben and Anna: Minneapolis Wedding

He lured her in with  a 24 case of Diet Pepsi and she suspected nothing.

Ben brought Anna’s favorite drink over to her parents home as an excuse to get her out to the car and on a journey.  She unexpectedly gave in was taken to a path lined with 12 notes.  Each one stated why Ben was in love with Anna and why the Lord had brought the two together.  It was an emotional walk and at the end, a ring stood on a rock.  Ben got down on one knee and asked the love of his life to be his forever.

Their wedding day was a true picture of love, and a proclatimation that this event was just the beginning of two lives becoming one.  It was joy filled and one of friends and family.  And although it was cold, they and their wedding party endured it for photos just before the sun set.

It was such an honor to be a part of your day together.  Many blessings to you both as you start on this amazing journey together!

Loved these of Anna getting ready, on the right is her mother watching her with tears get dressed.

Meeting one another was such a joyful experience!

Their great wedding party

Ben and Anna- Details of a Minneapolis wedding

The details for Ben and Anna’s wedding day were lovely.  Here are some of the wonderful vendors that put together this beautiful wedding day!

Wooddale Church held the ceremony for Ben and Anna, and the 2 also got ready here.

Anna’s dress was stunning on the hanger, and beautiful when she put it on!

Shoes, jewelry and Grandma’s blue hankie…

Flowers for their big day were provided by Sarah Westvig.

Loved the hair piece! Anna you are beautiful.

Sparklers that they added to their get away.

Reception was held at the Minneapolis Golf Club

I loved the centerpieces that Anna and her mother had made from dried Hydrangeas and fall foliage.  All were held in antique tin pitchers and buckets.

    More to come tomorrow!

      Tom and Annika: Minneapolis wedding

She never pictured herself moving to the south.  But one class and one man changed that.

It was a snowy afternoon at North Dakota State university and the Mississippi football transfer was not used to the weather.  The Minnesota girl offered anyone in their class a ride home, and of course he took her up on the offer.  After a great conversation home, the two discovered that they lived in the same building and immediately began hanging out.  Annika and Tom became great friends, which turned into more and eventually Tom was on one knee proposing to his best friend.

Their wedding day proved to me just how good of friends they are, not only to each other, but to everyone who comes into contact with them.  It was beautiful and emotional, and I was overly blessed to be a part of it.

And now this Minnesota girl has become a Southern girl, all because of a ride home.

Tom and Annika: Details of a Minneapolis wedding

Vintage weddings are just so lovely and extremely fun to photograph.  Annika and Tom’s day was particularly fun because of all the antique details that held the day so beautifully together.

The great flowers were from Linden Hills Florist.

I loved the antique jewelry that Annika picked out for herself and her bridesmaids.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Minneapolis was beautiful both inside and out.

Tom and Annika’s rings were from The Jeweler’s Bench in Starkville, MS

I could not get enough of their sweet flower girl, and I loved her shoes!

The pillow that the ring bearer carried was made by Annika’s mother out of old quilts from their familyCakes were created by the awesome Wuollett’s Bakery, and were served on antique platters.

Carlson Towers held the reception and they did not disappoint.

Annika’s mother collects and gives out antique cake platters as gifts.  All the centerpieces on the tables were from her collection, I loved it!  More of this beautiful wedding tomorrow!

        Wedding bouqutes

One of the things I love photographing at weddings are the details of the day.  Flowers specifically are a favorite, as are all the hair pieces, center pieces, table settings, jewelry… Ok well just all the details.  Today I really wanted to focus on the bouquets.  After doing so many different weddings, it was super fun for me to look back and see how unique each bouquet is.   I went to the archives today (and even found a wedding from film!) and found so many colorful display’s it made me feel inspired to go out and buy some bright and cheery flowers for the table…. we’ll see if that actually happens!  Happy Wednesday!
