Yea, another work week! This week I am espically happy because
a) I woke up to bacon and eggs cooking, the coffee brewing, and my family at home with me to eat my favorite meal of the day: breakfast!
b) my wonderful intern, Lauren, started today!
c) The sun is shining and it is finally above the zero mark in the frozen tundra. Supposed to be a whopping 30 later in the week. (I’m not holding my breath!)
Hope your Monday is just as happy!

No its not Alaska, definitely not Florida, or somewhere in the middle, but it is home. This week the high was 16 and Sunday’s low was -21. Thus my daily drink has been hot coffee and meals throughout the week have included chili and wild rice soup. (It’s no wonder we gain weight in the winter months, I call it the hibernation season.) I don’t even want to go out. Way too much work to get the kids all bundled up and let the car get warm for 15 minutes, to drive on the icy roads and then run through the parking lot battling the wind chills and snow. Maybe I’m a big whoss or just lazy, but this week we have been staying in, reading lots of books, watching movies and cuddling up. Can’t say its that bad, just home.

Just a side note on the photo… I took 4 photos today and was out for about 10 minutes. My fingers were so COLD when I was finished! Much love from MN
Everyone has their New Year resolutions. In the past I have thought this is pretty unrealistic. Basically because I am one of the statistics. My “resolutions” only last until mid-February. Then I try again the next year, vowing that again I will try and and try, only to give up once March comes around because I have been “just so stinkin busy!”
So this year one of my resolutions (among many) is to blog at least once a day during the work week. Can’t be that hard right? Well for me, yes! (Structure?! What for? Yes, this is me to a T!) But that is what resolutions are for, right?
It is among the many directions I feel pulled to go in business. (More of that to come in later posts).
But for today, Happy New Year, and may you be one to keep your resolution this 2010 year!

From my family to yours. May your days be merry and blessed.

Katie Nick’s June wedding at Seven Vines Vineyard was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and joyful celebration. From the classic black-and-white wedding party attire to the dreamy golden hour portraits among the vines, every detail felt effortlessly sophisticated.
Surrounded by their favorite people and endless love, these two kicked off married life in the most beautiful way.

Baby Mary has arrived and is already so deeply loved by Nicole and Aaron.
I’ve had the true honor of photographing this family since their oldest was born over 16 years ago, and watching their story grow through each new season has been something really special. From newborn snuggles to busy, full family life being invited back again and again is something I never take for granted.
This family is deeply rooted in the world of forage, county fairs, and raising and showing lambs and sheep, so it only felt fitting to include a little lamb hat for baby Mary’s first photos. A small nod to a big part of their life and traditions.
Welcome to the world, sweet girl
Spring soirée perfection.
Rob and Sarah’s wedding day was a beautiful blend of faith, family, and thoughtful design. Inspired by Monet’s garden paintings, their celebration was filled with soft spring colors, meaningful heirlooms, and intentional details at every turn.
After a joyful ceremony at Eagle Brook Church, surrounded by family and friends, they celebrated the night away at Silverwood Park with beautiful florals, heartfelt speeches, lakeside portraits, and dancing.
One of my favorite details? Sarah changed into her mother’s wedding dress for the reception, while flowers made from that same gown were sewn into her veil.
Congratulations, Rob and Sarah!

Welcome, to the world sweet Julia! It was such a blessing to see Travis, Marisa, and Jalen again! What joy Julia has brought to this family! Congratulations!!
AWESOME!
So fun! Great shot. 🙂
LOVE this image! Such a fun fun shot! Love the joy and the cute little cheeks and toes 🙂
cute picture!
about the button, i had trouble this week too for some reason. if you are working in html, simply paste the code directly from the i heart faces homepage (buttons in the left sidebar) and then switch to visual mode. i don’t know WHY it needs this to be done but it was the only thing that worked for me. hope that helps!
So cute!
I have issues in wordpress.org with putting their code in too.
I just put it in as a picture using their html code for just the image, then relinking it to their site.
Hope that made sense. 🙂
Love the Shot! – Side Note: I use word press, and I just copied the HTML from the I heart Faces site (they give you the code) and pasted the code into the HTML tab when writing the post. I hope that helps… You can e-mail me at juliaspencer14 at gmail dot com if you have any questions
Looks like fun!
beautiful!
I used WordPress too and have had trouble with the new logos. The ones on the side bar aren’t working for me two weeks straight. I go under FAQ…find the questions that says something like “how to upload a button”…click on it and grab the button from their answer screen. It’s worked both times but I had to cut and paste it twice before it would work. Be sure to be in HTML. Helpful – hope so…I thought it was just me that had trouble!
Such a fun moment! You captured it beautifully!
This is such a fun picture. I love it : )
