Marquette Family: Minnesota family

Nichole contacted me a while back wanting photos of their family.  She and her husband live on the outskirts  of the Cities and wanted a place that would accentuate that part of their lives.  We found the perfect location not too far from either of us; Gale Woods Farm (also a beautiful place for a wedding).  It was a perfect day for photos and the leaves were at peak.Issac was so perfect for the shoot, he seemed at home in the hay!  Aaron told me later in the shoot that when Issac was smaller, he would sleep in the warm hay while they were working outside, no wonder he was so happy.

Such a cutie!

LOVE, LOVE the tree here.  I was inspired to do our family photos here after this shoot, and a week later the leaves were almost gone!  I guess that is fall in MN for you.

And my very favorite from the session….

    The Amundson family: Minneapolis family

From kindergarten to junior high and into high school, Cassie and I were good friends.  We reconnected recently and I am so glad we did.  Last year I did an extended family session (see here) and this year again I was able to see them again to do their family shoot.  She brought great “props” ranging from huge lollipops to chalk that entertained the kids for the last minutes of the shoot (and my favorite photos!)  Amundson’s, it was so great to see you again!  Enjoy the photos, as well as your ultra sweet kiddos!

        Candace and Keith: Minneapolis wedding

They met at a football tailgating party.  The Georgia Bulldogs vs the Florida Gators.  She was with her sorority sisters and he was with his frat brothers.  The two groups started mingling and Candace caught Keith’s eye right away.  One date lead to another and the rest goes down in history to when these two rival fans agreed on one thing: they both wanted to spend the rest of their lives together!

I had such a blast with this southern couple.  Thank you Candace and Keith for allowing me into a moment of your lives together!

          Candace and Keith: Details

The details of a wedding day can go missed by the bride and groom as the day wisps away from them.  As photographers, it is our job to be another pair of eyes for the couple to come back to after the day is gone.  I was thrilled to have wonderful details to shoot and vendors to work with.

Debbie Turner Originals graced us with her floral creativity both with the bouquets, boutonniere,  and at the Club.

Candace’s dress and veil were a Pricilla of Boston find.

Her bracelet and hair piece were from the funky and fun Che Bella, and the invites were created by Amy Zaroff Events and Design.

          The groomsmen sported Savvi Formalwear

The girls hair and make up was done by Rocco Altobelli’s Salon in Edina.  (Candace you are stunning!)

Candace’s necklace and earrings were a gift from her new in-laws purchased from Hudson Jewelers in St. Louis and they were so beautiful on her!

These super, uber fun bridesmaids that kept me laughing all day were dressed in Priscilla of Boston dresses and Target jewelry.

Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina held the ceremony, and it was wonderful.

Apres decorated Edina Country Club with its finest, making the room colorful and fun!

Candace and her mother created some of their own details; socks for dancing in and place cards!

The cakes of the evening were created by Queen of Cakes.

And the grooms cake, very appropriate for the occasion as Candace and Keith met at a rival football tailgating party…

And my favorite part of the day… A candy bar created by Mary Hamilton.

More eye candy to come tomorrow of the beautiful couple!
