closeAngie is always taking photos. I trust her with all of our friend dates. I leave my camera at home and enjoy the time with friends and family while she manages her kids, the hosting and the photographing. Well we switched roles a few weeks back, and I took up the camera in hand and was able to photograph her extremely fun family. Amazing how her kids have grown since our last photo shoot, and even since our first one. I love this family, it was a great time!

Since their wedding 4 years ago, Megan told me her and Jacob had not had good photo together. She wanted to do a fun session incorporating one of the things they both love.. reading and Harry Potter books. They were wonderfully prepared with great fun props. We incorporated them along with some sweet photos of the couple. It was such a great time and they are such a fun couple!
Back in July I met Mackenzie and her family. She was the maid of honor in her sister’s wedding. We hit it off right away, probably because I was chasing her cutie kiddos all over the place trying to make them laugh for a photo on the hot day, and then we were chatting up wedding details! She also mad sure I sat and ate at the wedding, which was so thoughtful! We ended up getting some great shots then, and some great shots now. I was so thrilled to see her again. Enjoy those sweet boys!!

Do you really love your job? Does it excite you? Make you passionate, inspire you? Do you hit the alarm clock ready to do what you love?
Know that this is not an everyday occurrence to me, but I am glad I don’t hate my job. To be perfectly honest, I am not a morning person, but I get to play with kids, interact with couples, be inspired, cry and laugh. These are all in my job description, and I absolutely love what I do.
Before the eara of my own kids and as I was trying to establish my photo business I taught pre-scool part time. I was an art major and had very little experience teaching, but I loved kids and interacting with them. I was brought into their world for a few hours a day and tried to see through their eyes. I look back on that time with fond memories of 3, 4 and 5 year olds, because they taught me so many things. Little did I know the following year I would become a mother and that 8 years down the line I would be photographing and playing with different tots on a weekly basis!

From their engagement session, to their wedding, to the birth of their first daughter and now to their second, it’s been a joy and honor to be able to photograph couples like the Wargo’s as their life changes.
It’s what makes my job so meaningful and fulfilling! Congratulations Hannah and Jake, your family is beautiful!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
