Lebanon Hills Engagement Session:: Carl and Lindsey

They met while playing Ultimate Frisbee while attending college at the University of Minnesota- Duluth. It was there that Lindsey and Carl formed a deep friendship and then began dating. Throughout their time together, the two also connected through adventuring, traveling, playing various club sports and being up at Carl’s family cabin together.

While traveling to Arizona with friends for a vacation in 2019, the two decided to hike the Grand Canyon. As they began their hike on a beautiful morning, Carl stopped Lindsey and asked her to marry him. Of course she said yes (all before 7am!) and the two continued their decent down and back up the canyon before they were able to come back and celebrate with friends and family!

As they both love being outdoors, Carl and Lindsey chose the beautiful Lebanon Hills Park to do their engagement session. The leaves were at peak and we walked the park with their pups Sparrow and Rio for photos. It was an unbelievably hot day for October first. A whopping 80 degrees left us all dripping with sweat, so we ended the session by heading into the lake to cool off leaving us with some beautifully fun photos!

I can not wait to celebrate with Lindsey and Carl in May at the La Point Events in Sommerset, Wisconsin! I know for sure we will have just as much fun, if more, then!

Minnehaha Falls Engagement Session:: Madison & Lane

As a member of the dance team in college, Madison and her team put together a guy-girl dance to end the year. Lane and his friends volunteered to help and he two ended up running into each other at a mutual friends house the night after the performance. Chatting about the performance and a variety of other things, the two hit it off. A few days later, Lane asked Madison to go to a movie and dinner which continued for the next few months but they hadn’t “made it official” yet.

Lane asked Madison to drive a few hours to his aunt’s house to drop off some chairs and the two ended up at a huge family surprise 50th birthday party. His aunts spent the night asking the couple if they were dating and then why they weren’t dating. On the car ride home, they went to the local bar and got a Junk Basket (an appetizer basket filled with various fried foods) and Madison told Lane he “could just tell everyone they were dating”. To this day, they still laugh about that story and make a point of getting a Junk Basket every time we are in that town.

Madison and Lane chose to do their engagement session at Minnehaha Falls in Minneapolis, the spot they were engaged last winter. It was a beautiful summer evening. We wandered the park to the bottom of the falls where Lane popped the question to a place in the creek where the two were incredible sports and waited in the water. We then headed out to do a champagne pop as the light was fading. It was an incredible day and I can’t wait for their summer wedding at Croix View Farm in Osceola, Wisconsin!

Stone Arch Bridge Engagement Session:: Jenny & Mark

Jenny and Adam share a deep love for the city of Minneapolis, But neither one are from the city. Adam attended law school in Minneapolis while Jenny was working in Wisconsin. The two commuted back-and-forth for a while, and when Adam graduated, he got a job up in northern Minnesota.

We decided to do their engagement session around the iconic Stone Arch Bridge in Minneapolis and at the lush and green Father Hennepin Park. Even though no rain was in the forecast, it fell and Jenny and Adam just went along with it! It was so wonderful being with the two of them.

I’m so excited to celebrate with them in November at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis! I know the day will be just as fun and filled with joy!

Downtown Wayzata:: Summer Engagement

Upon meeting Caylee and Ethan for the first time, I knew they were a fun couple to be with! Whenever a couple can laugh with one another I know we’re going to have a great time! We decided to hit downtown Wayzata for their summer engagement session. Because Caylee grew up on the lake and both of them love it so much we spent most of our time near the water. We explored some of the side streets and walked amongst the crowd laughing and chatting. I am looking forward to there September wedding date and can’t wait to laugh more with them then!

Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove:: Summer Engement

It was the most incredible evening for a photo session and I was so excited to spend it with Dillion and Becca. We chose the beautiful Elm Creek Park in Maple Grove for their session and the light was incredible. We wandered the park as people swam, biked and enjoyed the beautiful evening. I simply can not wait for their September wedding, I know it will be just as incredible and fingers crossed, so will the light!!
