closeLast fall she was expecting a baby at her sister’s wedding. I was photographing her adorable little 2 year-old son who was loving his role as the ring bearer. Being that Courtney was from Arizona, I didn’t expect to see her again, much less meet the baby she was pregnant with! I was so floored when her mother called to set up a session for the kids. They did extremely well for the 45 degree weather! (I guess they must be true Minnesotan’s at heart!!)
Back in December of 2007, I met Sarah and Chris. They were so fun to be with and friends I wanted to keep. Well I am SO glad that I have been able to see them on a yearly basis to do their family photos. Their boys continue to make me smile as they are SO stinkin’ cute!! This session was just as great. For the first 15 minutes, the boys laughed like crazy, and couldn’t help but to share in their joy! I continue to look forward to sessions like this one!
One year ago, I was photographing little Bennett at one year (see HERE). Crazy how time flies and Melissa and Matt have added another to their beautiful family! I was fortunate enough to see their newest addition, Grant, and get some photos of him!
Their joy and laughter is contagious. It carries to those around them making them smile. Terry and Stacy are just that way. They are people you want to be around. Want to get to know. Want to laugh with. It was a joy filled session as we walked around Como Park in St. Paul, only miles from their home. I was grateful to spend a fall Sunday afternoon with them.

Laughter. It is a trademark of the Hill family, they are just people you want to be around. It has been a joy to watch the kids as they continue to grow and change.
From their engagement session, to their wedding, to the birth of their first daughter and now to their second, it’s been a joy and honor to be able to photograph couples like the Wargo’s as their life changes.
It’s what makes my job so meaningful and fulfilling! Congratulations Hannah and Jake, your family is beautiful!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
