closeSix months has to be one of my favorite stages for babies, I love their rolls, the way they interact and coo. Sweet Elsie was no exception, I loved meeting her at the baby stage, but seeing her wide eyed and happy brought me so much joy! And seeing families on a regular basis makes me even more happy!!
June is here, and with that LONG, beautiful, summer days! Looking for an updated family photo? Having a baby? Getting married? I’d love to connect, and don’t mind me, I’ll just be sitting outside enjoying the sun!

It was a glorious day for a family session. Leah and her littles stood amongst the hordes of beautiful people all dressed up for prom. Little did I know the park would be in utter craziness when we scheduled her session, but we finally found a spot in the grasses and on the trail to photograph her sweet family in.
Reminding me of my own family, her kids, two girls and a boy, brought back sweet memories of when my kids were at these precious ages and capturing this family at this particular stage was near and dear to my heart!
This week included time with my family and celebrating Mother’s Day.
Finding out I have a crabapple tree in my front yard (this is huge people). For the last 2 years we lived here I thought it was a bush, nope. An overgrown tree that needs lots of pruning. (Of which I found out AFTER I chopped part of it!)

Thankful for another great week!!
One of their very favorite things to do together is have tea parties, so it was only natural that Hayley and her daughter bring tea to their session. Drinking tea with stuffed animals, reading books along the tulips at Lyndale Park in Minneapolis, the two had an amazing spring evening for their session and lots of fun in the process! It was a joy to meet these sweet girls and join in on their tea party!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
