After the rains fell, a perfectly flawless summer day erupted giving us lush greens and plant of space to go throughout the campus of the University of Northwestern for photos! Looking forward to seeing this family in the near future!!
Oh July! You are my favorite month by far. We will hit up all the watersides and pools we can this month and enjoy these wonderfully long and hot days of summer! Oh these two sweet girls. Not only were we dancing and twirling on the paths of the Minneapolis park, but we were crawling in the grasses, and exploring all the flowers of the Lake Harrie Rose Gardens. It is a joy and honor to document kiddos growing up. These two and their sweet parents are no exception!
When I first met the Allisons, their sweet oldest was only two. Struck by her curls, and her sweet parents, I knew we would be friends! Fast forward quite a few sessions later and another little boy, I was able to photograph them together again this spring. I love, love, love that I continue to see families year after year. Kelly and I met years ago when we were living in Robbinsdale. Long before our kids got big, we would take our little people to a local park and to swim and play during the summer months. I am so thankful for this amazing group of women that walked along side of me during the early years of parenting, and thankful that as our kids have aged, we can still keep in contact and I get to photograph these sweet babies getting to be big kiddos!!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
