Cottage Grove Newborn Session:: Declan

Oh how I love seeing sweet babies and clients! Molly and Mike were married in 2018, and I loved shooting their winter engagement session and then their summer wedding. After spending so much time with them, I felt like we had been friends for so long.

When Molly emailed to say they were expecting and looking for newborn photos, I was so excited to be able to see this incredible couple again. Sweet Declan arrived and was such an easy baby to photograph. My heart was bursting as he slept through almost the entire session. Molly chose to do most of his photos in his nursery which was decorated with neutral wooden materials. She also chose some of the cutest outfits for him which were also neutral to fit his decor.

I look forward to seeing this family again as Declan grows, congratulations Molly and Mike!

Maple Grove Maternity Session:: Aslesen Family

One of my greatest joys as a photographer is to continue to see clients throughout the years and watch their families grow. Emily and Neal have become friends and as they continue to grow their family, I LOVE seeing them.

At our last session, Emily told me they were expecting and we all jumped for joy when they found out that baby GIRL was going to make her arrival this spring. The past few maternity sessions with the Asleson’s have been a blast and when Emily asked if we could stay close to home, we we lucky enough to find this marshy area right behind their Maple Grove home.

After a week of negative temps, it was such a gift to have a day almost in the 40’s and little to no wind. We all stayed relatively warm for a February day and Emily’s beautiful blush dress was the perfect accent to the snow and gold grasses. I simply can not wait to see this family again and see how these boys are such wonderful big brothers to their little sister!

Minneapolis, MN:: Newborn Session

I absolutely love meeting new families and the sweet little ones that they bring home. I was able to head out on a cold winter day in Minneapolis to meet this family. At the start to the session, there was a little tentativeness to photos, but as the books came out and songs ensued, there was only fun to be had.

We began out session in the bright, well lit family room and then moved to the bedroom where we read books, sang songs and snuggled. We moved to the nursery for some photos and had a sleeping babe almost the entire time!

It was an honor photographing this kind Minneapolis family, and I simply can not wait to see them in a few months. It really is incredible how fast kiddos grow up and documenting these stages makes me so happy! I hope to see many of you again soon!

St. Michael Newborn Session:: Elijah

If you were able to take a peek at Samantha’s and Zach’s maternity session, you would know their little boy was going to be so cute. Elijah was not only a sweet little honey in front of the camera, but he was so good and slept through almost his entire session. He even was kind enough to give us a few sleepy smiles.

I’m so thankful for this sweet family, not only because they are so kind, but because I get to call them neighbors and have the joy and honor of watching Elijah grow up. Congratulations to you Zach and Sam!!
