Roseville Family Session:: Larson Family

It has been years since I started photographing the Larson family and every time I do so, I love them more! After three boys, they were all so excited about welcoming sweet Alex into their family last fall. She will be well loved and taken care of by her big brothers and it was already so apparent in these first few days at home.

We began the session indoors and sweet Alex slept the afternoon away as her big brothers passed her from one to the next, and then we headed outside to capture the beautiful fall colors.

I love being able to see families grown and change and can’t wait to see them all again soon!

St. Paul:: Newborn Session

The week of babies! If you have wanted one, or just need a fix then you have come to the right place! It has been a joy meeting new little ones and seeing their families again. Little Alan was no exception. Kelsey and Brian were married in 2019, and seeing their family grow was a joy.

Because they love their cabin, the lake and being outdoors, they chose to incorporate their favorite things into Alan’s session. A loon, boat and buffalo plaid were some of the items they chose to show off his nursery and their personality.

I am so sure this little one will also grow to love the Minnesota lakes as much as his parents, and I simply can not wait to see more of them as he grows! Congratulations Brian and Kelsey!

Minnetonka Maternity Session:: Diedrick Family

Spring has sprung, and along with it so many babies! I love this time of the year and seeing so many new little lives coming into the world into so many new families. The Diedrick family is no exception. I had the honor of photographing their first sweet girl as a newborn and toddler. As they welcome their second baby, I am so thrilled to be able to photograph him as well.

For Emily’s maternity session, she chose to be at her home. We had a beautiful spring day and the sun was shining and beautiful as we documented the waiting of this new little one to be born.

I simply can not wait to see them again in a few weeks and meet this little man. Congratulations Diedrick’s!!

Downtown Wayzata:: Summer Extended Family

Oh how the lovely Hodepp family makes me smile! They are some of the kindest people you will ever encounter. I have been so incredibly blessed to photograph Maddie and Billy’s wedding and now their entire family as they welcomed their daughter to the family this year. In so many ways I hope my children grow up and model the Hodepp children.

We were watching the radar all day in hopes that the rain would hold off, and miraculously it did. Our session took place along the beautiful Lake Minnetonka and around the Wayzata Depot. Because of the ify weather, we didn’t have to deal with many people in the area and the dark clouds created a perfect backdrop for the Hodepp family to shine.

We found one patch of flowers that were still in bloom and out of the wind which made for some of the best photos of the evening. What a joy it was to see this family again. I can’t wait to continue to see them grow!

Minneapolis Studio Family Session:: Sachs Family

I have been photographing the Sachs family since they were engaged and married. Steve and Gina brought their oldest home and we did a few milestone sessions and last year they welcomed a sweet baby girl to the family! We documented her newborn session in her home and then her six month milestone in the summer.

In February, this little girl turned one. I loved the props that Gina brought… balloons, stackable blocks, a cake and of course, a tutu!

We ended this Minneapolis studio session with a highly anticipated cake smash that was devoured by both this sweet one year old and her big brother. And we could not have left the session without cake filled hands to wash and kiss! It is always a blessing to see Steve and Gina and can’t wait to see more of them this year!
