closeJust two months ago with green grasses, sparkling waters, 70 degree days, and clear skies, I met up with this sweet family to run around Lake Harriet and photograph in the fun! Their sweet little girl loves the moon so we photographed it just for her!
I just LOVE the sweetness of a new baby. Thankfully I continue to get my fix from OTHER people’s children! Sweet Evelyn was so wonderful for her first shoot. She slept the entire way through and hardly made a peep! Her head of hair was amazing as were her itty-bitty everything else! 
One of my very favorite things is growing with families. I absolutely love the fact that I get to start with them early and be able to watch their kids grow! The Williams family have been long time clients turned friends. I was able to photograph Jack when he first arrived along with their 2 other kiddos and Katie’s sister’s wedding. They are very near and dear to my heart, and I am overjoyed to be celebrating with them on the very soon arrival of their 4th child this fall!!
I absolutely love when families incorporate their pets into photos, but honestly, with a newborn that can sometimes be so hard. But THIS DOG blew me out of the water. I was in awe the way Nacho watched over his sweet Zane as it it were his own puppy, (maybe he thought it was?!) Big props to his parents who trained him well and created this honey of a baby! I was so blessed by all of them and their love for one another!!
When Brooke called to see if I was available to photograph her family I was thrilled! Living in Northeast, she had some great ideas as to where to hold their family session, and the place did not disappoint, and neither did their sweet one year old! It was a joy seeing them!!
From their engagement session, to their wedding, to the birth of their first daughter and now to their second, it’s been a joy and honor to be able to photograph couples like the Wargo’s as their life changes.
It’s what makes my job so meaningful and fulfilling! Congratulations Hannah and Jake, your family is beautiful!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
