I have known Shannon since she was in high school and we shot their wedding out in New York a few years back. Being back in Minneapolis and being able to see them more, brings my heart happiness. When they asked if I would photograph their newest addition, I was thrilled, and even more thrilled with the way their 2 year old took care of her brand new baby sister!!
A fresh day with a fresh baby. My morning was complete after I was able to photograph this sweet darling doll. She was a gem and slept through the entire session. I am sure she will continue to be this easy for her momma being the youngest of 3!!

Babies, and toddlers! Such a fun combination!! I absolutely LOVE seeing families where I was able to start documenting them as a couple on their wedding day and then continue to document their sweet family grow! It is a joy to me in this business! Here is sweet little Lily and her big sisters!!
Last week I got to visit yet another sweet little newborn! I can’t wait to show more of him and his sweet family!
From their engagement session, to their wedding, to the birth of their first daughter and now to their second, it’s been a joy and honor to be able to photograph couples like the Wargo’s as their life changes.
It’s what makes my job so meaningful and fulfilling! Congratulations Hannah and Jake, your family is beautiful!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
