closeOh how I love Mill City and also seeing past wedding clients! Gina and Steve were married a few years ago and (best thing ever) on my birthday!! They both treated me SO well and are so near and dear to my heart! Then back in October, their sweet lil man was born and I had the privilege of photographing his newborn session! Seeing him at six months, makes me swoon. Those big blue eyes and two tooth smile had me! I love seeing past clients and watching their families grow.

Emily and Derrick’s maternity session was full of snow and sleet, but their newborn session was much different! As they welcomed sweet Morgan into their family, the day was full sun and spring in its glory! Can you not get enough of this full head of hair? I told Emily that Miss M was one lucky lady! I can not wait to see them again in a few months as she continues to grow!
It is always a gift to see past clients, especially the where you know their heart story about their family. I absolutely love the Lang family, their hearts and their baby! It was a gift for me to document this beautiful stage for them, and they are even so kind and brought me a coffee to end my session with! Loads of heart eyes for this family!
It was snowing like crazy when we did Emily and Neal’s maternity session! But we were all just LOVING it. (Ok maybe me just a little too much!)
I wish we could have had someone shooting a behind the scenes for this one as I hid behind the car for shelter, Neal, in all out gentlemanly fashion held up a blanket for sweet Emily on the side to shelter her from a bit of the storm and Emily being just as beautiful as ever and laughing her way through the winter storm!
I simply can not WAIT to document this little one with Emily and Neal as they become parents!
I have been photographing the Sorensons for a few years now, and I am so glad I was able to see them and photograph their family for a fall family/ mini maternity session as they welcome their new little one this winter! What a gift it is over and over to see sweet families like this one! I hope to see them again this year with that new sweet little baby. Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
