Mat & Christina: Arneson Acres and Westin wedding

They were living in Sioux City, IA.   Knowing that the city held more than corn, The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center, and the Chief War Eagle Monument, the two met while working together.  Sharing their sense of humor, wit, love for basketball, dogs, and cooking, the two hit it off and quickly became friends.  After dating for a while, Mat was offered a position in Ohio.  At this point the relationship could go one of 2 ways, and Mat asked Christina to be his wife.

She followed him out to Ohio while “livin’ the dream” and quickly got a job working for Cargill.  The two planned their Minneapolis wedding from Ohio with much help from family and friends.  Their wedding day turned out to be a crisp Minnesota day.  I so enjoyed being with these two and laughed as we wound our way around Minneapolis.  Christina and Mat, I wish you both the best, congrats!

Ryan & Kelly: Bar Lurcat wedding

It never intended to happen (well it really never does!)   Ryan was in his hum-drum of every day life at the office, when by chance he met Kelly.  She was kind-hearted and had many of the same interests as he did.  After a couple of months of passing -by chance- at the office, the two decided to go out for drinks and ended up talking for 4-5 hours.  A few days later Ryan called Kelly for their official first date.

Not too long after that, the couple planned a trip up to northern Minnesota to view the changing fall leaves.  A year later they decided to go on that same trip and on the first night Ryan went out for “groceries” and decorated the bonfire pit at the resort, got a fire going and tried to calm his nerves while Kelly was unpacking in their room not knowing what was going to happen next!  When Ryan came back, he escorted her down to the pit and proposed!

Their September wedding was absolutely perfect.  As I mentioned yesterday, they were wonderful to be with and I felt like they were some of my old friends!  Kelly and Ryan, I wish you both so much joy and happiness!

        • I actually only meant to say “congrats” to the above post… but man, that B&W of the bride on this post is absolutely stunning.

        Ryan & Kelly: details

They were secretly “stalking” me.  Ryan joked with me as we met for coffee.  I had photographed Kelly’s friend’s wedding and got to chat with the two of them.  When we met, I felt like we were old friends as we chatted about their wedding.  Being the first wedding of fall, and after a 6 week break from weddings, I was ready to get back into the scene.  I could NOT have asked for a better couple, venue, group of people to spend the day with.  I have to admit, I was a little obsessed with the venue, yellows and grays and Kelly’s dress and the pure awesomeness of the way the day was pulled together.  More images to come tomorrow!!
