American Club, Kohler WI Wedding:: Meghan & Mark

Their story story involves a dating app, a naked bike ride, a few cocktails, and great company. Meghan and Mark met after linking up on a dating app. Neither one knew who made the first move, but they are certainly happy one did. The couple headed to Dry Hop, a local brewery, for a drink and bite to eat. Laughter definitely took over when they looked out the window and saw hundreds of people biking down Broadway Avenue, sans clothes. They both knew they had something special because of the lighthearted nature each-other possessed. Mark had the ability to swoon Meg with his knowledge of literally everything, and Meg kepy Mark interested by challenging him to some friendly (read–competitive) trivia.

Many dates later, Meghan and Mark are still laughing and totally in love! In October of 2019, they decided to take a trip to visit some Bourbon distilleries in Louisville, Kentucky to celebrate our birthdays. (Meghan had a belated celebration as her MOH had a wedding on her birthday!) While in Kentucky, Mark proposed and Meghan said yes! (-Taken from their wedding web-site)

Meghan and Mark had planned to get married in 2020, but like many couples, had to rethink their wedding day. Because the couple resides in Chicago and Meghan’s parents are in Minneapolis, the couple decided to do a destination wedding in at The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin. The beautiful lake town that hugs Lake Michigan was a perfect location for a long weekend of celebrating with friends and family from near and far.

Their July wedding day was a beautiful one. Mark and Megan got ready at The American Club. With its spectacular views and stunning landscape, there was not a bad place for photos. The Kohler Spa did Meghan and her bridesmaids hair and make up. Meghan wore a beautiful satin Romona Kevaza gown purchased from Annika Bridal Boutique while her bridesmaids wore stunning baby blue Lula Kate gowns from Bella Bridesmaids.

Mark and his groomsmen got ready in their Brooks Brothers attire and monogramed sleeves while toasting Bourbon and shooting pool. Not one detail was overlooked as Meghan’s mother, Mary, planned an incredible day. Meghan and Marks’ monogram was displayed throughout the wedding day in everything from the ribbons on the bridesmaids flowers to the cake to the floor logo to each napkin the guests received at their place setting. Their beautiful wedding invitations designed by Kate Murphy, displayed a beautiful American Club in watercolor. Meghan and her father were escorted to the church ins a white classic Cadillac driven by Lee of Lee’s Classic Cars.

The coupe was wed at the beautiful and historic Holy Name Catholic Church, and then headed to the lakefront in a classic trolley and then Blackwolf Run Golf Course for photos. Upon arriving to their social hour, the couple celebrated with guests as they served their signature drinks and Lief Larson painted an exquisite piece for the couple as the reception was going on.

Meghan and Mark chose to do an East Coast style reception. Bella Diva’s Entertainment welcomed the new couple in to their first dance and then guests joined on the dance floor for a few dances. Meghan’s father gave a heart-wrenching speech, and guests broke into laughter as the maid of honor and best man gave tribute to Meghan and Mark. Cody and Tory of Exist Media captured the entire day for the couple.

Meghan and Mark, it was a joy to spend the day with you. Congratulations and best wishes to many happy years together!

    Minneapolis Backyard:: Wedding

Whenever a family member would ask Adam if he was dating anyone, he would respond that he was “blissfully single.” He enjoyed running, traveling and serving other people and so in the fall of 2015 when he met Janna at Faith Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Adam thought no differently of her. As time continued and the two realized that they had many common interests like yoga, traveling , adventuring, exploring the outdoors, and running club. The two became really good friends and after some coaxing from both sets of friends, the two began dating in 2018.

The day after Jana‘s birthday, because she had to be at school on her birthday, Adam and Jana decided to go out for a nice dinner. Jana thought nothing of the time and as they continue their night on a nice walk at a park near their homes, they stopped at a Bench and Adam asked Jana if she would be his wife. Adam proposed with a diamond band and a few days later the two went ring shopping together and Janna picked out her perfect ring, A blue sapphire, with a little tiny diamonds embedded around it.

The two were wed in a park outdoors on a beautiful July afternoon off Minnehaha Parkway in Minneapolis. Jana‘s beautiful white gown from Bridal Aisle was perfect against Adams charcoal suit and navy tie. Luna Vinca created the most beautiful bouquet of flowers in which Jana had specifically asked for daisies to remind her of her grandmother. Friends and family helped decorate for their wedding day and her father even created a custom ceremony backdrop that was adorned with bright florals of the season. During the ceremony, Adam and Jana chose to forgo a unity candle and wrote letters of thanks to each one of their 60 guests in attendance. It was a highly emotional time had by all, and showed the intimacy of the day. Because Adam collects rings from all different countries he had explored, Jana knew his wedding ring needed to be special. She worked with a designer, Hawks and Company, from Arizona and designed a beautiful gold ring out of materials Adam loved. He didn’t get to see it until she placed it on his finger during their vows. Jack’s Café provided an exquisite meal for guests as they joyfully celebrated Adam and Jana‘s wedding day. Janna and Adam, congratulations to both of you. I was honored to be a part of your day and I’m so incredibly happy you found one another. May all your years together be richly blessed!

Camrose Hill Flower Farm, Stillwater :: Wedding

Three years ago when Eva interviewed Max for a job at Children’s Hospital, she was not only intrigued by the way he was extremely suited for the job, but for who he was as a person. Easy going and casual, Max was easy to be around and Eva found herself enjoying his company more and more when they worked together.

The two started dating and two years later at the end of February, Max planned a hike for the tow of them at Lebanon Hills during the candlelight festival that they hold every year in the snow. Unfortunately the snow melted early that year and the paths turned to ice. As he and Eva walked (and slipped) along the path, Eva continued to ask him what was happening. Trying to be romantic and find the perfect spot, cold trying and keep Eva from getting upset, the two ended up heading back to their apartment. Upon their arrival, Max ended up getting down on one knee and completely surprising Eva by asking her to be his wife!

Both Eva and Max had hoped for a September wedding, but like so many couples in 2020, ended postponing it to this May, and I am so glad they did. Their small and intimate ceremony at Camrose HIll Flower Farm was bursting with color and life. We took advantage of all the blooms in the garden by strolling the pathways. Eva’s beautiful ivory and blush tulle dress fit in perfectly for the feel of the farm. Max’s navy suit from Foursquare looked stunning when paired with the wildflower bouquet that Camrose created. Eva’s beautiful dark hair was pulled into a stunning up-do from Sarah Jane Salon. Their stationary, created by Eva’s step-father, Wally Preissing, was perfect when paired with rings from Jared and Enso were beautiful. Anna from Adagio brought some incredible music while Rack Shack BBQ catered in an incredible meal and Muddypaws brought their delectable bite sized cheesecakes.

Janell and Pawan:: backyard Edina wedding

“Hey there, what’s next on your travel bucket list?” Pawan asked Jenell as his opening line when the two connected online.

Faroe Islands was Janell’s response and the two began a conversation about it on their first date. Never in a million years, would Jenell envision that when that trip finally did come for the two of them, Pawan would end the entire trip on the top of a mountain with a ring in his hand asking Jenell to be his wife.

The adventuring partners moved forward in planning their 2020 wedding, but everything came to a screeching halt when Covid hit. With Pawan’s family in India and Jenell’s father terminally ill, the couple made the hard decision to move forward with their plans and get married in their backyard on a beautiful August day. Surrounded by the family that could make it and a few friends, Jenell and Pawan were wed. Family from India watched via Zoom and the incredible intimacy of the day created memories to last a lifetime.

Jenell’s stunning dress from Che Bella was perfect for the backyard wedding. Paired with the beautiful florals from Ink and Ivy Designs, the colors popped against the August greens. Pawan’s gray suit from Milbern Clothing Company was a perfect touch of sophistication and elegance. The intimacy and love that Jenell and Pawan exuded was apparent to all who witnessed them get married. It was a joy and honor to be a part of their incredible day. Congratulations!

University Club of St. Paul Wedding:: Marcos and Elizabeth

As children Marcos and Elizabeth met. Both Elizabeth’s parents and Marcos’ parents were good friends, but when Marcos’ family moved to Duluth, the two families lost touch and went their separate ways.

As fate would have it, Marcos moved back to the Cities and began working at Colossal Cafe off Grand Ave in Saint Paul which Elizabeth now owned. The two reconnected and remembered their time as children, reminiscing about the past, and looking toward the future. Elizabeth and Marcos became fast friends since they spent so much time together and eventually began dating.

After spending a full day with Elizabeth’s family on Saint Patrick’s day this year, Marcos asked Elizabeth to go for a walk up to her favorite Bridge in Saint Paul, the High Bridge. He knew that she regularly ran there and loved looking across the city and the river so it was the perfect location for him to propose. Upon arriving at the top of the bridge, Marcos asked Elizabeth to be his wife.

Their September wedding day was beautiful. The two wanted only close friends and family to join their intimate ceremony so they could spend quality time with everyone. Elizabeth’s long sleeve Jenny Yoo gown was classic and elegant and perfect for the wedding day. Her bouquet from La Petite Fleur held hues of pinks, greens and whites and was stunning against her dress and her pink shoes added the perfect pop of color. April of Evergreen Weddings planned each and every detail perfectly and had the reception room looking amazing. The two had so many perfect details to the day including geo name places that were hand scripted with each guest’s name.

Elizabeth’s entrance had almost everyone in tears; even Marcos much to the surprise of Elizabeth. Friends and family gathered from miles around to celebrate with this lovely couple. Because both Elizabeth and Marcos work in the food industry, the meal of short ribs and polenta was incredible as was the cake from Buttercream bakery and the coffee bar which included sweet liquors for guests to enjoy.

Marcos and Elizabeth, it was a joy working with the both of you. I love the way you love each other and those around you. I do hope our paths cross in the future and that Paris is treating you so well!!
