She was glowing, and so was he. It was that maternal and paternal glow that a person can only have when expecting a child. For my very good friend’s Lauren and Wade, this baby is a complete miracle and blessing. At age 24, a week after getting engaged to Wade, Lauren was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Not knowing what her future entailed, she chose to cling to the promises of God and wait to see what He had for her in the coming months. Amazingly enough after several operations, she was in remission and as she walked down the aisle as a glowing bride, we thanked God for the life he had given her.
After being married for a few years, the couple was ready for a child, but because of her complications in the past, doctors told her they were not sure if she would ever be able to conceive. Again, she and Wade hung tight to God’s promises, and after trying for a few more years, the couple was able to conceive and will give birth to their baby boy in early September.
I am ecstatic for the two of them, and am so thankful to be able to capture this stage of life for them. Can’t wait to share more photos of this little guy when he comes!
