Reflections:: Parenting

I was listening to a podcast this week about raising teenagers. The host mentioned that she remembered feeling physically exhausted she was when her kiddos were little, but now as teens, feeling mentally exhausted with all the things that she has to think about. Questions ranging from Are they making the right friends, to are they BEING a good friend, to have I prepared them well for xyz. Having a 13 year old, I am just beginning to feel this way, and quite frankly there are days I would rather go back to the physically exhausted days! Any other momma feeling me, or am I just plain crazy?

    Minneapolis Family Session:: Sharbono Family

    Rebecca and I went to college together and for a time she was even my boss!  Every year, they take advantage of my mini sessions and I get to see her and they way her kids continue to grow!  This year was just as great as the past years, and we even got the downtown scapes we all love as a backdrop!

      Roseville Newborn Session:: Luong Family

      She was teeny and  beautiful and everything they prayed for in their baby girl.  What an honor it was to do their Maternity session, and then a few weeks later meet their sweet lil girl.  I look forward to more sessions with the Luong family, they are wonderful!

        Chicago Family Session:: Scaletta Family

        Chicago is a near and dear place to our hearts because some of our very good friends live there.  It is always a gift to see them, catch up on life with them and really be encouraged by them.  This visit was no different.  Our kids just keep getting bigger and bigger while we seemingly stay the same.  What a joy and a gift it is to have long time friends in life where no matter the distance in miles and space in time you are separated, you can always catch up where you left off.

          Chaska Extended Family Session:: Hegland Family

          When Laura reached out over Christmas to purchase a gift card for a summer family session, I was thrilled.  Not really knowing the Chaska area, she decided on the location, Chaska city square park. This sweet location in the middle of the historic portion of the city was all set with a pavillion, cobblestone streets and sweet giggles from the family!
