Otsego Smash Cake Session:: Ties Family

Is your baby turning one? There is no better way to celebrate than bringing out a beautiful cake in front of them, and watching what will happen! Honestly you never know what you are going to get… they may thrust their hands down deep and pull up frosting, or they may tentatively touch it and back away at the fact that they were getting dirty!

It was so fun to see the Ties family again. Not only did we get a few family photos in, but we saw Everly thoroughly enjoy her cake, along with Kato who cleaned up after she was finished!

    Rogers Family:: Springfield Family

    So many days, hours and minutes I have logged with the Springfiled family. They have been around since my first daughter was born (16 years ago) and they are still active in caring for our family so many years since we have met.

    This session was different from those in the past. One, all their children are now incredible adults that are thriving and two, we sent off their youngest son to serve our country. Along with 1,100 other National Guard members, Josh left last month and before we left, and while all the kids were at home, we got in a family session.

    One thing I love about the Springfields is that they all play instruments, and are so good at them. We decided to do a remake of one of the photos we took years ago.

    What a joy it is to see them, and we thank you Josh, for your service to our country.

      Edina Family Session:: Franks Family

      I had the honor of photographing Mike and Nicki’s wedding a few years ago, so you can imagine how excited I was when they asked if I would do a mini session of their first son. Born in the spring, we had to capture him among the blooms of the season.

      Just as the trees had begun raining their beautiful, fragrant blooms to the earth, we captured the newness of life as it also came to the earth!

      What a blessing to see families like the Franks throughout so many wonderful seasons of life!

        Edina family:: Larsen family

        Having three kiddos is not easy, but Lauren and Josiah made it look like there was nothing to it!

        I met them at the incredible Arneson Acres (one of my all time favorite places to shoot) and once there, we wandered the gardens laughing, playing and taking a few photos in between!

        We had to capture individuals of all the kiddos and even little Stian gave us a few smiles.

        We ended at the fountain and the kids splashed and found games to play with one another and getting each other wet in the mean time! What a fabulous day it was and I am so thankful for families like the Larsen’s.

          Cermak Family:: Studio Session

          It is truly a gift to see family’s year after year, and Christy and Brian are one of them I have been photographing Zoe since she was born. This sweet family visited me in the studio and we had such a great time laughing and being together. This little one is full of spunk and energy and I hope to continue to watch her grow through the years!
