Spring Mini Sessions

They are back!! This year I will only be running two rounds of mini sessions and one is this spring! Mini sessions are a great way to get a great new family photo, catch the milestones of your kids, give a great Mother’s day gift, or just an inexpensive way to get a couples photo with the spring blossoms! Details on locations will be coming soon! Both sessions will be offered in around the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area. Dates and times are below. Sessions are $225 for a 25 minute session and around 20-30 high resolution print ready images available in a digital download. The deposit to hold your session is $100. My Favorite Places to Shoot:: Elm Creek Park Reserve

Happy Friday everyone!! Fall is in the air and so are the thoughts of family photos and (dare I say…Christmas Cards!!) As I write this, I certainly cringe, because if you know me at all, I am not a huge fan of cold weather. I prefer it nice and sticky. I know, I know, I am definitely living in the wrong state!!

All that said, one of the things I LOVE about Minnesota is the fall and the fall colors. September and October are FULL of color all over the state and there are SO many places within the Cities to capture your family and the beauty of fall. (HINT-if you have not booked your family session yet, I still have a few openings!!)

One of my very favorite places, not only because it is close to my home, but because it is huge, is Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove. The Maples are glorious and there are tons and tons of places to shoot. I typically start at the chateau, which has stairs, paths, a great building, and then make my way with clients to a part of the park that is less traveled to capture more of the fields and dirt paths.

It is just one of the many places in the Twin Cities that is just so beautiful!

Interested in a family session. Our 4th grandchild is due the end of October so would like to wait until November. Any suggestions? Live in Maple Grove. (Dan and Erin Welter are my son/daughter-in-law, so that is how I am familiar with your work.)

Some of my favorite places to shoot:: Lake Harriet Rose Gardens

One of the things I would love to share more of are some of my very favorite places in the Twin Cities to photograph sessions. One of the places this summer where I have frequented has been the Lake Harried Rose Gardens or Lyndale Park. If you have never been here at all, it is definitely a place to explore or take photos at or of.

Set in the heart of Minneapolis, it is full of plant life that is ever-changing, great architecture, a Japanese garden, fountains, and of course, one of the Minneapolis lakes. In the spring-time the trees are full in beautiful blooms and in the fall the they are filled with rich colors. All of this is within walking distance and is a great place to take family photos, engagement photos, or even wedding photos! There is a pay lot or street parking, and sometimes you may even catch a food or ice cream truck! It is definitely full of diversity and a great place to explore Minnesota!!
