Jon and Luda

It is always an honor when asked to photograph a wedding of a vendor that works in the business.  Luda is a florist (See her web-site HERE) and we met a few years ago at a mutual friend’s wedding.  Since then we have remained in contact and when she called to ask if I’d be willing to shoot her wedding, I was thrilled.

The wedding took place at Forepaughs in St. Paul.  Because Luda is from Russia, she and Jon decided to have a very intimate wedding with very close friends and family.  We headed toward Irvine park and down to the river front to do most of their photos.

When Luda and I were discussing the details of the day, I asked if she had any cultural items that she wanted to use as props.  Because she had just come back from Russia, she brought Jon a very Russian looking hat.  When I asked her if she had a cover up or jacket,  I loved her reply:  “Of course I’m from Russia, I have a Fur coat!”

Thank you Jon and Luda for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day.  Many blessings to you as you enter into marriage.

Special thinks to Joan at Forepaughs (See site HERE) in St. Paul, Jennie at the Paper Garden (See site HERE) and Andrea their wedding planner for all their help in accommodating Jon, Luda and me, as we were running all over taking photos.

    DG Christmas Party

On Wednesday I had the great privilege of being involved in the celebration of Desiring God’s Christmas Party.  If you don’t know anything about Desiring God see HERE for more information.  My husband and I have learned to love this ministry and the knowledge that comes from it.

Yes, I do corporate events like this one and actually love the variety that they bring to my field.  Plus, when it is at a great venue like the 409 Summit mansion, it is an added bonus.  ( It would be a fabulous venue for a small wedding!)

    Ashlyn’s baptism

It is always a joy and an honor to be a part of a family ‘s milestone moments and to be able to capture those events for them.  Beautiful Ashlyn was baptized in the same church as her mother Shannon was baptized in, making it a memorable moment for all involved.  The entire family showed their love for the family and for Ashlyn.  I was able to be there for the actual baptism as well as capture a few family photos after the ceremony.ahslyn 9ashlyn 10ashlyn 8ashlyn 6ashlyn 5ashlyn 7ashlyn 3ashlyn 11ahslyn 2

And Ashlyn had it.  The end of an eventful day.  Isn’t she beautiful?ashlyn 1ashlyn 4
