I just love watching families grow. Back in February I was able to do Marissa’s 6 month photos, and this fall I was able to see her growing family again! Her baby sister will be greeting her in December, and I should be back to do some newborn photos of her!!

They are such a beautiful family, especially their baby daughter who is absolutely gorgeous. These pictures look great!! What a happy family!! 🙂
I just love seeing the Nelson’s. They are some of my very favorite people. I have been blessed to be able to capture these milestones for their family over the years.

Cute! What a beautiful family. I love the one of the little boy by himself with the hat on.
Yet another call on another day. It was tiring, wearing and extremely emotional. Amanda had just gotten off the phone with her adoption agency, which had told her that her daughter was not cleared to come home yet through the American embassy , but her son was. “When would these 2 children ever be theirs?” It had been a painful 3 years of waiting. Almost 6 months ago they had received word that they had been placed with their children and were able to fly across the world to meet them. Coming home was painful and waiting was especially hard, and so was the paperwork that came with the trial. The month they waited was well worth it and within 6 weeks of the Embassy saying that Violet and Spencer were not yet theirs, they walked off a plane in Minneapolis holding the 2 babies they had been waiting for for so long. Finally, the family of 5 was complete.
I was able to photograph their homecoming to the airport which was an emotional one for me.

Finally together

You can read more about Amanda’s amazing journey on her blog HERE. Much love to you McAlpines, I are so blessed by your story.
She is a beauty and a natural in front of the camera. Since 3 months, I ahve been able to capture Alyssa at her milestones. I am so thankful to do my job and to see great families throughout those first precious years! To see more of Alysssa at 6 months, 9 months and 12 months, click on the red!

From their engagement session, to their wedding, to the birth of their first daughter and now to their second, it’s been a joy and honor to be able to photograph couples like the Wargo’s as their life changes.
It’s what makes my job so meaningful and fulfilling! Congratulations Hannah and Jake, your family is beautiful!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
If you’re wondering how it all works (and how we make it easy), I wrote a full blog post about it! Check it out in my stories
