closeI was thrilled to receive the call! She was born! Autumn had arrived right in the middle of the heat of summer. Her mom and I decided to take full advantage of that and photographed her at on week old outside, and she slept the entire time, she was a dream!!
There is nothing better than photographing twins. And twin toddlers. And their older brother, with lollipops at a candy store. The Pratts are great friends of ours as we met in college. Our kids have grown up together and every year I have been able to photograph the changes that happen in their family! We bid them farewell in June as they headed to Texas. We will miss them dearly, and hope they will return one day. At least at this point we have one more reason to visit Texas!
It has been such a joy to anticipate the arrival of this little man and to continually watch him grow and change. This session, however, Max turned a corner. He now a mover and a shaker and very much turning into a little boy! He had me laughing at all his facial expressions and kept me jumping while he explored! I am constantly in awe to see how fast these little ones change!

I just adore this family. I was able to photograph them when they adopted Darius last spring, and I was in love with his sweetness and theirs toward him. This spring they added another family member to their already busy home, and we had a beautiful day to photograph around St. Paul!
From their engagement session, to their wedding, to the birth of their first daughter and now to their second, it’s been a joy and honor to be able to photograph couples like the Wargo’s as their life changes.
It’s what makes my job so meaningful and fulfilling! Congratulations Hannah and Jake, your family is beautiful!
Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
