closeI had the privledge of getting to kno Natalie and Bob and their family a few years ago when I did a family session for them with their then, one year old. Fast forward a few years and sweet baby Caleb joined their family. Smiling and cooing, he was a treasure to photograph. What an honor it has been to be asked into these precious moments in time and document them just as they are!
Newborns are slowly becoming one of the sessions I can not wait to go to! Charlotte’s (Lottie) session was no different. I photographed Sarah’s maternity session earlier this summer, and I was so excited when the e-mail of Lottie’s birth arrived. This sweet girl slept almost the entire session and even when we brought in the cat for photos, she seemed content to have him close. Congratulations to this beautiful family of three!
It has been a while since I have had a newborn that was absoutley perfect during the entire session. Sweet Jaxon slept throughout his first photo shoot waking up to simply take one bottle and snuggle with his momma. What a joy it was to meet this kind family and enter into this beautiful stage of life!

Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.
It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.
I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
