Sarah & Peter:: Town and Country Club wedding

Sitting in the back of a Chicago taxi, Peter and Sarah headed to the Drake hotel with a ring box held tightly to his chest.  It was Christmas time and the two were headed to the High Tea that would take place on that great day in December.  Peter had distracted Sarah in telling her they were to meet his elegant aunt, and she looked around the room anxiously waiting for her.  When Peter disclosed that his aunt would not be joining them, Sarah hid her disappointment and headed to the table with Peter to wait for the tea.

After myriad’s of people and carolers streamed in and out of the room, Peter’s heart raced and he gripped the box that he would soon present to his girlfriend as he asked her to be his wife. If Sarah had any idea that something was going to happen, she hid it well.

After exchanging some private words with Sarah, Peter got down on one knee on the side of the table and asked Sarah to be his bride.  With a teary, “Yes”, she agreed and the two celebrated with a glass of Champaign and  later with family who anxiously waited for them downstairs!

Their wedding day was a beautiful one and I was so thankful to be a part of.  Sarah and Peter treat everyone like they are good friends, and I was no exception.  Congratulations to the both of you, what an honor it was, for me and MANY, to celebrate with you!!  Cheers!!
