The month of January has been one of research and family time. I am loving every minute of it! Much of this work benefits me in those summer and fall months where business is at its peak. One of the truly amazing and helpful sites that I have found is PioneerWoman.com. Click HERE to see her site. One of the many things I have benefited from is her Photoshop actions. If you are a pro or even armature photog, take advantage of these sweet actions. (Only catch, you have to have Photoshop CS2 or higher…) Below is an example of all the different actions in set 1, and one of my winter weddings from 2009. She has a Set 2 and is in the process of set 3! Enjoy!

Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.

It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.

I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
