One of the things I love is seeing families grow over the years. This particular couple is dear to my heart as I have known Shannon for years. Her sister introduced us, and she and Keith even flew my husband and I out to New York to photograph their wedding. Seeing their family grown and change over the years has been so fun and as they said their goodbyes this summer and headed on to their next adventure in Alaska, I know our paths will cross again. Hey maybe they will even fly me out to Anchorage for their next family session… wink wink!!

This family was absolutely the sweetest. Being able to capture their wedding vows and now photographing their little family is a joy for me. I so appreciate being able to connected to couples and families throughout the years and this family is without exception!!

Twin two year olds

This past fall I was able to see one of my favorite families. Not only do they have twin two year olds that make life a lot more amusing, but they also have a four year old that adds her spunk to the mix. I adore being with this family-even though by the end of the sessions we are all sweating profusely!! Last year we did two cake smashes and this year we just… ran. Like all over. (And that is completely fine with me, because I must tell you that I do count toddler sessions as my workout for the day!!)

Super special thanks to Grandma and Auntie who helped rally the troops and were great entertainers throughout the session!!

Including siblings in your newborn session… yes or no?
My answer is always yes.

It might feel a little chaotic in the moment, but those are often the images you end up treasuring the most—the real connection, the tiny interactions, the beginning of a new family story.

I’ve loved watching the Luong family grow through all three of their children’s newborn sessions, and those sibling moments are always some of my favorites.
